Sorry I am not getting the ID logic here, why would someone in 9th place right now agree to ID? Doesn't anyone in 9th place or lower have to win to get into the top 8 and bump someone down?

guaranteed because the math works out that way that , or truly guaranteed in the sense that more than 8 teams advance? What if there are 9 teams with 6-1 or 5-0-2 records, wouldn't one of them miss top 8?
what i dont get is why the 9th place ided before i played my game. if i win he is going to cut off but if i lose then it would make sense
Not really... If you lose RR is now at 5-1-1 with a 45 Buchholz (Tiebreaker) and still above PixDixFix. I'd much rather have my tournament fate in my own hands than in the hands of the 6 people I've beat along the way.
