Pokemon Pokémon Hack - Homer Simpson Poll

This might seem extremely random, but I want to prove a point to an acquaintance from another forum who won't stop bugging me about it.

I'm making a hack and he wants me to put Homer Simpson in it. His only excuse for bugging me for months is that "Everybody loves Homer and it would only improve the hack" (not a direct quote but more or less the equivalent of what he's saying). I want to prove to him that Homer would not be suitable for a Pokémon Hack.

It would certainly be interesting. Maybe make him in the Elite 4 with a team of Snorlaxes. But it really ends there. There is a very fine line to tread between a good hack and going stupid just so that your favourite cartoon characters can make appearances.

Just tell him that Pokemon and The Simpsons are different series for a reason. Personally, any kind of crossover is just silly to me.
