A reprint of Pal Pad has been revealed from ‘Scarlet ex’! Cards from the Japanese sets Scarlet ex and Violet ex will combine with any additional new cards from the three Japanese ex Starter sets to make up the majority of our Scarlet & Violet base set in March.

This is huge

More validity to serena as a supporter even when ?? Pokémons starts to take over. Cheryl, cheren and penny is getting way more value for each card you add in

Boss & roxanne

Etc.

Printed in scarlet ex?

According to tourney regulations, it's still rotating, but for a brief two weeks, as the new cards are not allowed until two weeks after new set release...

But for non-CP formats such as leagues? Not out of standard!

With the loss of Marnie forcing some decks that could previously get away with 0 copies of Research prior to rotation now having to run 4 copies, I really like this reprint.

Rotation only happens when the Scarlet & Violet become legal for tournament play so it will not rotate.

Scarlet & Violet becomes tournament legal on April 14th. Rotation is on April 14th.

fun fact: Pal Pad being printed in Scarlet instead of Violet is a subtle reference to the fact that no post-college adult has opened a Notebook in 15 years

The Pal Pad seems to be getting a bit full... one might even say overstuffed. It doesn't seem to be fully closing anymore.
10th generation's Pal Pad will probably have a custom binding to replace the one that breaks off-frame in the coming months. Or maybe a piece of packing tape or flex tape holding it together.

They're really doing everything they can to not reveal those Gen 9 National Dex numbers with these early SV set reveals.
My best guess is they're just trying to avoid spoiling Pokémon that aren't found in the first hour or so of gameplay or which hadn't been officially revealed prior to release. In that case, the National Pokédex numbers are beside the point.
The only Pokédex numbering issue that I'm really concerned about is whether Gholdengo is really Pokédex number 1000 or not. It would make sense thematically, but there seems to be little evidence to assure us that it actually will be, besides the poetic justice of such an outcome.
