TCG and VCG Northern California Regional Championship
April 14 and 15 2012
Alameda County Fairgrounds
4501 Pleasanton Avenue
Building C
Pleasanton
California
94566
United States

Conveniences/Info/Etc.
The event website is called Second City Gym and the inconviently long link is here http://secondcitygym.com/pokemon-trading-card-and-video-game-regional-championship/2012-regionals-faq
There will be an Augmented Reality Photobooth where you can get your picture taken with pokemon.
SCG's directions say Valley Boulevard. There is no Valley Blvd. It's Valley Avenue.
The venue is a large and spacious convention center-type thing, although it is not near as large as a convention center or one of its rooms.
It is in a large blacktop area, i think.
The parking lot is gravelly, not that you need to know.
If you find more info than my personal knowledge and what i gathered in roughly five minutes, tell me and i will insert the info here.
The Juniors Head Judge will be John Cesano. He's a nice man, although he can be a bit strict about rulings.
Yes you can preregister but i do not recommend it. It is much easier to just turn in a slip at the event. Preregistration can be done here. http://secondcitygym.eventbrite.com/
The building this is in is labeled:
HALL OF COMMERCE
on a banner across the front doors.
The picnic ground next to the building has also been rented.
The closest restaraunt is a Jack in the Box across from the fairgrounds.

I will definitely be there.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

Going to see if I can find some sort of hotel up there to stay the weekend, I dunno. I might end up going, I might not. I plan to go, but if something unexpected arises, then oh well.

i might be able to help, doubtful though since i have never needed to stay in a hotel around here.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

Just found out from my friend tonight that he's got friends (and other miscellaneous connections) up in the Norcal area, which means that I might very well be staying up there without having to pay for a room. This has shifted the odds of me going up there significantly upward.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

Hey, who wants to say what deck they're playing? I'll start. Celebox. Plain and Simple.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

Victini Donk.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

Cinrush.
CIN
RUSH
No explanation.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

@- DNA-That...is....so.....boss.

RE: Northern California Regional Championships

It's even more boss when I go first, my opponent starts with a lone Mewtwo...and I win T1.
That hasn't happened yet, but I have donked people like that before. (It hasn't happened because no one has started with a Mewtwo against me yet.)

I love my Victini. I think he's about 50-50, which is darn good for him. One time, he knocked out 5 Pokemon IN A ROW! It was awesome.

Mine is exactly 80% chance of success, which is why I love using him. Unfortunately it seems like the Mewtwos always fall in the other 20%, but I hope to change that in the future.

And yeah, I've had simul-KOs with him a lot. My current streak so far is 4, against Durant.

I'm running Zekeels.... in juniors

Do you have anything else that you think would work better, because i've never liked the idea of Zekeels (Cinrush mops the floor with them anyway)
But if that is what you have tested most then run it.
