Hey names James, Im a competitive magic player but recently used a friends pkmon deck for giggles and wouldnt mind putting something together for us to play when were bored. problem is i need to build my own deck! Other problem is there are SO MANY reprints of pkmon cards. Whats i really need is like a database where i can look up pictures and text of every card and i cant seem to find it. any help on that or is it non existant? im looking for something like this format when im searching.

i can see the card its self, read it, price, set, everything.

There's a tab that says "Card Scans" on the left. You can use that to look at all the card scans from non-promo sets. Majestic Dawn and newer is the legal format right now.

Additionally, the Redshark program has data on every card including promos, but has no pictures.

thanks a ton, im not really worried about legality of cards at the moment as we will only be playing casual. i was on pkbeach but apparently missed the scans part of the page ill check it out again.
 
bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net has some really good stuff for the TCG. It includes cards by set if you search, images, and card text, including what set(s) the card was printed in.
 
The Pokebeach main site (as DNA pointed out) is an excellent resource as far as trying to figure out what cards you can use to form decks. But if you want further help, might I suggest glancing at the various TCG forums we have here? Seasoned players can offer up a lot of suggestions for what works well. I'm not into the trading cards myself, so I apologize for not being able to help more on this issue, and since it seems this thread has already served it's purpose I'm just going to go ahead and close it.~Apollo
