It's my first deck, maybe its a little poor because I ve started to collect cards few time ago and my collection is poor :)
Like you can see almost all my cards are from old series. I just dont like new series, so if you comment you could talk about "old" cards.
For me is good deck because its letting me win with my friend when we are playing for fun.
At begin you can use Odish to Sleep/Poision. It will give you some time to put energy to others. My favoritue here is Tangela - Paralis+Poison. At end when we have a lot of energy, we can use Venusaur with attack multiplied by quantity of cards.

Skunktank G would be a good addition to your deck, as its pokepower poisons both active pokemon

s all about special conditions but Venusaur spreads thoe fine by itself. you don't need to throw in random pokemon. Next if Venusaur is your main attacker, wouldn't it make more sense to play more of the card (if you only have 1, then get more) so when one Venusaur gets KO'd you'll have another Venusaur to replace it with. I'll just give you a idea of what you pokemon loine should look like (warning: i'll be listing both old and new cards)

3-2-3 Venusaur CG (Main attacker)
2-1-2 Pidgeot FRLG (Seracher tech)
1-1 Weezing GE (addittional supporter to increase poison damage)
3 Dunsparce SS
1 Unown Q MD

Simple. Prefered starter is Dunsparce as you can attach and energy and use it's attack strike and run to search you deck for upto 3 basic pokemon and place then on your bench. Pidgeot is a tech whcih is used purely for its power to be able to search your deck for any card (however you can only use Quick Search 1 time a turn, so even if you have 2 Pidgeot's set up you can only use Quick Search once) Weezing boosts poison damage so it would be 3 damage counters per turn instead of 2. The T/S/S is probably the hardest to fix because you could use any card printed (if you have it) but i'll just suggest the key cards to run

4 Celio's Network
3 Pokemon Communication
2 Castaway
4 Rare Candy
2 Night Maintenance

As for the energy, well considering how well Venusaur can abuse Double Coorless Energy (plus it's a very old card, though it was reprintes in the HGSS set) it would make sense to run 4 of it, so

2 Boost Energy
7 {G}

Boost Energy isn't entirely needed but it's just for those moments you want to give Venusaur a massive boost in attack power (Green Blast is going to be you most used attack)

do you have any southern islands cards? They had the best ivysaur back in the day.

oh, and tech in neo genesis meganium that doubled your leaf energy.

you can then cut the energy in half and have room for pokemon breeder fields and pokemon breeder. As well as pokemon trader. All great old cards for getting your evolutions out wicked fast. Also that meganium outright removes any need for a double colorless. Paired with base set venosaur, you can use even less energy.

But I wanted to change my deck, not to create new.
And my most killing attacker is Tangela. Have them 4 and was beating all opponent pokemon with them. Veno was only for fun. Think the best in my set are Tangelas, but they dont have evolution so I added other.

southern islands was a 9 card promo set. You either bought the set of 9 with 3 holo's, or one set of 3 at a time with 1 holo each. The holos were vileplume, merril, and mew. At least that's what I remember, there may have been more cards, but I doubt it.

I was off about southern islands. Has 9 holos, and 18 non holos.

how so? base set Ivysaur takes 3 energy to do 30 or 20 + poison. and if you have the meganium in play, it only takes 1 to do 30.

of course the new ones are even better; 80 HP instead of 60, higher damage attacks, only +20 weakness VS X2 weakness. but I still contend that SI Ivysaur is better than Base.
 
But I want to play only for fun, Im not going to some championship. But like I wrote Veno + family is my 3rd poke. The best are Tangelas, u even dont need to throw coin to make poison. In next attack you have paralis and opponent cant do nothing.
Sometimes base poke are better then high evo, only have few HP. But if ure Lucky you wont loose any.

@warn Its riddicolous. Its my deck and I dont need cards. Its letting me win all time. It have 60 cards and I never wrote it could be unlimited.
 
If your deck contains card that use that are not in the modified format people generally write Unlimited next to the title. That way people know you're using cards from all/any sets. It just makes helping you much easier.

Just because you're not taking this deck to any championship doesn't mean that you can't make your deck good in terms of structure or else what would have been the point of posting it on a competitive TCG site.

Really Tangela is your main pokemon? 3 {G} energy to do 20 damage and poison (awful) and 2 energy for 20 and a 50/50 chance to paralyse. I'm suprised you're able to win against your opponent (though if they're using a similar kind of deck in terms of structure like your deck then it isn't so surprising) looking at your strategy, you made it sound like you stall with Tangela till you build up Venusaur. My example deck just elimintaed Tangela because it takes soo much enegry just to do sub-par attacks, and focused on Poison damage somewhat seeing as trying to stall with a 50/50 paralysis is unrealiable and risky. Venusaur can't paralyse but it can hit hard and spread special conditions well and can take a hit.
 
Like I know which cards are unlimited. Theres any info about it in rules, anywhere.
And in ur post you are wrtting only about evoloved pokemon. Whats before? Probably before I will be able to evove it get killed or be almost killed.
And why Tangela is not good? It have posion for sure. Even with Weezing that u ve posted need to flip coin.
And if I saw god Koffing need Psyhic card + uncolored to do only 10 dmg, so I cant use it at all beacause dont have energy.
 
Weezing isn't meant to attack. it's meant to just sit on the bench and increase the poison damage from Tangela/Venusaur using it's poké-body. As for the pre-evo lines: they can be anything you want. I would advise which of the pre-evo pokemon to use but there are too many versions so it would take too long to search through every set.

Vensaur has a 100% poison attack as well, but it also sends the opponents active pokemon to sleep and the poison deals 20 inbetween turns instead of 10, plus Venusar has a realiable atatck to use outside of it, plus you could even use the Secret Wonder Venusaur which has a poke-power which for a coin fip allows you to either burn, poison or put the opponents active to sleep (so really you would want to burn them as Venusaur CG can already cause poison and put them to sleep)
 
But before evolution pokemons are most important, they are starting game. If they are nnot able to make good start, even evolution will not help.

These are the pre-evo's you can use but if you find anything better then use that instead, though ideally you want to be starting with either Dunsparce or Bulbasaur.
 
But any of this dont have posion so Wezzing will be uselless.
And can you, please write all names of sets?

As for the pokemon, they don't need to have poisoning attacks. Venusaur does all the poisoning.
 
I posted this deck beacuse Im all time winning and its boring. We just cant create deck to beat it. Maybe we are playing on low, but Tangela can beat all his pokemon. That why I was really suprised when you have said that's not good poke at all. I think poision is too overpowered in this game or we have wrong rules. But look : Tangela have 50hp and its base, I dont think that any base can attack more then 50. Im using Velonepower, so Its 20 dmg +10 from poison. Next he's attacking me, maybe he will kill me but he's still on poison, another -10.
So I was just asking more how to beat this deck, but theres not forum section about it at all.
 
alot of the newer cards can do over 50. one example Ambipom G. 2 colorless and it does 60 damage if the defending pokemon has no energy attached to it. Donphan prime with a BTS, one fighting and 60 damage.. so, I think that deck is not beatable, because you guys are still using older cards. otherwise, a Donk deck would mow through it. which is why decks like this (albeit fun to play with) are not competitive (aside from it not being tournament legal)

play around with it online a few times, broader card pool = tougher decks.
