There was a topic for this a while ago but it was old and I was feeling lazy so I made a new one. S'alright?
Anyway, got the game the day it came out for I am a sucker for Mega Man Classic. I like it better than 9 so far, and that one was pretty nifty so this one is definitely great.
Proto Man is playable from the start now and he's the same as he was in 9 - he can block projectiles by jumping, slide, and charge his laz0r, but he takes hits like wet cardboard and has less options in the shop (he can't get M-tanks, for example)...although I guess he didn't even have a shop in 9 so it's all good! Also: Tango cameo in his shop. No joke. <3 Apparently Bass's shop will have Reggae in it.
Speaking of Bass, he isn't playable yet (his DLC will be out in April) but we do know a fair about him; he uses Treble (natch) and for the first time in an 8-bit Mega Man game we can shoot upwards with the default weapon! THANK YOU INAFUNE, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE DREAMS OF FORCING YOU TO PLAY THROUGH YOUR GAMES UNTIL THE END OF TIME WHILE ON A UNICYCLE.
Easy Mode is slightly easier than Mega Man 2. While 2 had harder stages (10-e seems like it's hand-holding a lot of the time until the Wily levels when it decides "hey, screw you" and becomes quite a bit more difficult) 10-e has harder bosses (the only bosses in 2 that put up a fight were Flash Man and Quick Man). Except for the dragon in Wily Stage 1 from 2. That godamned dragon. Easy Mode also has less cheap deaths; it is rare that a suicidal Mettool will knock you off a cliff or into spikes.
tl;dr Mega Man 10 is awesome.
Oh, bring like eleven billion Spike Guards for Wily's Fortress. YOU WILL NEED THEM. Remember to keep Triple Blade high too, you'll need it for the first part of the final boss (the second part is immune to it, unfortunately)
And to help you guys out:
Commando Man > Blade Man > Strike Man > Sheep Man > Pump Man > Solar Man (natch) > Chill Man (also natch) > Nitro Man > Commando Man.
Try to start with Blade Man if possible, Triple Blade is awesome. It's no Metal Blade, but still.
SUPER TL;DR I AM A NERD.
