Probably. If that's all you need it is. But if you buy a box you'll have a bunch of other cards you could use, or even just a bunch of cards that you can trade for other ones. I personally would try a box. Its probably more personal preference though.
 
Ehh, but I'll have some trouble with trading away the cards, but of course I could always trade them for other cards I need.
 
Yea so now I know what too ask my parents for christmas! Anyways thanks for the advice I'm hoping at running my current deck for fall, then come back strong in spring with luxchomp.
 
At nationals we opened 3 booster boxes of RR and got ONE Luxray gl X.
Terrible luck, terrible.
 
I know someone who bought 3 boxes of RR just for a luxray, and didnt even get one.

EDIT: and then he bought one for 35 dollars like 2 weeks later.
 
Yeah Luxray is pretty pricey at them moment... But I'm assuming it will get pricier as we get closer and closer to Nats. So if you have to wait til Christmas to get a box then i would probably go for the 2 Luxray. Otherwise if you have to scramble to get one before Nats it might be way over the 35 or so dollars it is now.

Then Bruce opened 3 boxes and got 2 lux x and a flygon x :(
 
luxray x is like $80+ now lol. and idk if its really that safe to assume that luxchomp (or luxray gl X itself) will be that popular by the time nationals comes around again. i mean, come on.... thats almost a year away.
