Kyurem EX counters?

Currently I'm at a loss. I'm considering Cobalion as it is slightly splashable, but are there any better ones?

Yeah, I thought of that, but I wouldn't know how to search out the Prism. Do you think a Metal would work, as it's searchable with Cilan?

A friend of mine ran Cobalion in his TyRam to deal with normal Kyurem. I think he just ran 3-4 Special Metal in it. It doesn't really need to be searched if you have enough draw.

Although, Kyurem-EX isn't going to be the most popular EX in the set by any means. It's probably dead last in terms of playability. Do you really need to counter it?

You don't need to tech against Kyurem EX. It's not going to ever be played.

Still, if you're that worried about it, run Cobalion and some Prisms.

It's going to be played in a few decks, such as The Truth and CaKE, and even a single one can really do a lot of damage.

CaKE doesn't love using EX cards because it's already giving up prizes. It probably won't run anything other than Mewtwo. It definitely won't run Kyurem because it's so bleh.

You might as well scoop to Truth regardless since if you have weakness on Kyurem, they'll just attack with something else.

I disagree. I think that Kyurem would be very strong in CaKE, it's amazing against almost every single deck with special energy.

Cobalion is your one and only tech to Kyurem. And Kyurem EX. Make sure you run the Prism Energy, and you'll be fine. Cobalion is probably the only Metal-type Pokemon that will be used in this format, because it's the most efficient.

Honestly, Kyurem EX is the worst EX in the format as of now, so I wouldn't worry about him too much. Kyurem EX is a tech, and will definitely not see much play because of its expensive attacks for little damage.

Exept for The Truth. But really, Cobalion eats Kyurem. It one shots a fully powered one, and if you are short you can just stall with Iron Breaker.

Honestly how much of the truth will we really see anyways? Even if the Truth is still playable, I feel as if the deck would get more out of Regigiggas EX than Kyurem EX, seeing as Regi EX has an outrage-on-steroids attack.

The concept of getting rid of a Special Energy is nothing new. We have Typhlosion, Machamp, Smoochum and most importantly, Lost Remover. It takes too many energy to charge the thing just to do 60 damage (especially in a deck like CaKE that doesn't run DCE). You're better off running Lost Remover and then using Glaciate or Iron Breaker as your attack. 60 for three is so, so bad.

Kyurem is useless, nuff said.
It does what regular Zekrom can do for 1 extra energy.
