I knew immediatley that forums would be buzzing with this news. Kentucky didn't play last night, in my opinion, against South carolina as well as they should have. I am a hardcore UK fan, and you bet I was dissapointed, but seeing as how they've got a great record for the year, they still should be able to win the championship this year.

Nova lost to Temple. Non-conference loss, though. I do see them losing once, maybe twice to Syracuse. That's pretty much a pick 'em game because their talent is about the same.
(Kentucky, Texas, Kansas and Michigan State would be my Final Four, but I'm getting off topic...).

I'd say make 'Cuse ranked 1st, but I doubt they'd jump ahead of KU and Nova. I don't like KU being #1 because they lost to a depleted Tennessee team who later lost to Georgia (don't get me wrong, the Dawgs are a lot better than most people think, but not that good), but if they lose to K-State Saturday, Nova will move to #1.

Kentucky lost close. Texas, they lost twice as #1 by double digits. Which is why Kentucky won't fall much. (Yes, I know S. Carolina is unranked, but they played like a ranked team again the Wildcats.)

Hmmm...I seriously hate that statement, reason 1 being I am from Kansas and am a huge Kansas fan.
You know the Hawks aren't going to lose to the Wildcats, it's just not going to happen. Even if they are on the Cats home court, the chances of them losing to the Cats are very low, atleast from looking at the stats and the overall match-ups of tomorrows game.
As for the topic I am also quite glad they lost, as now my Hawks are bound to get put back into the #1 slot.

You're kidding me, right? So Cornell, a lowly Ivy League team, would get destroyed by 40 to statistically better Kansas? They only lost by single digits, and they were riding KU's back the whole game. K-State's arena is a madhouse; KU might not get out alive.

My opinion was not biased. I knew the game would end up close like it did. Had Kansas State not gotten the lucky half court shot to ultimately send the game into overtime, the game would have been a 6 point difference, unlike with the OT it was a 2. Kansas State showed up with the highest number of people to attend College Gameday ever. With the madhouse of a stadium, and the crazy ups and downs, KU would ultimately pull out the win. I never said that KU would crush, I never said they would win by 2 or 20. I knew the game would be close, and it was. However KU still won, points been made.
So now since KU got the win over the Wildcats, KU shall return to the #1 slot. However how long can they hold it this time? Well with the upcoming matches of Texas, OU, and Baylor I see some difficulty trying to overtake Texas, but I still believe KU can pull out the win there. For OU and Baylor, both teams have pulled out random wins in the past and in order to hold these two teams off KU is going to have to play with 200% effort all the time, which they have always failed to bring to games like these.
