The title already says it, but should jirachi be used in Klinklang? Its a terrible ex, but even with Klinklang's metal protection is it worth it?

I don't even think Klinklang will be any good next format. Absol and Kyurem give it a lot of trouble, but if there's a rotation, the deck will definitely lose Shiftgear Klinklang and Iron Breaker Cobalion. It'll be too difficult to keep up without Max Potion and you no longer have Cobalion to OHKO Kyurem. A Supporter drought will be the least of your problems.

Max potion was reprinted as gold in Plasma Freeze.

If there is a rotation, Klinklang from B/W set will be gone, so you will not able to move the energies. Then Max Potion will be useless for this deck. Max Potion will not be rotated, of course he knows that. He is talking about B/W Klinklang.

Most non-EX attackers for any deck OHKO Jirachi.
Easy two prizes.
So no, I don't think it should be used.

Even if you did have Jirachi-EX the ability is useless if you can only play one supporter per turn and the attack puts you asleep as well. To top it off the HP is low and its an EX card.
My opinion,It should have been a non EX card.

So yeah, if you want to Max Potion Cobalion with three energies, I won't stop you :p

The thing about Jirachi is that it just isn't necessary. Just use a Supporter in it's place, and you'd be just as likely to draw into it, if not more thanks to Skyla. If you have a consistent list, you shouldn't even need Jirachi.

I wouldn't play it, but I can see why some people would, especially if you have multiple level ball. If you don't have a supporter, but ultra/level ball, this will keep you in the game. Usually not worth it though.

Hate to see the Klinklang go, but the deck falls because of the lack of Shift Gear Klinklang and NV Cobalion, not because Absol and Kyurem give it a lot of trouble. Kyurem isn't that big of a deal when you can Righteous Edge for 60 and discard a Prism or whatever, and with Absol...just...don't play Basics. Or just manage your Bench space. Absol's good when your opponent is stupid.

Jirachi isn't gonna be worth playing in Klinklang because Klinklang won't be worth playing. If the rotation is Next Destinies-on...then...yeah. SELL THE PLASMAKLANG.

I agree not a card I would consider playing. Shift gears is being rotated out, but Iron Breaker Cobalion is being reprinted (along with Glaciate Kyurem) in battle boost.
