Ruling Japanese cards

I heard from a friend who is professor and is generally very knowledgeable about Pokemon that next season we will not be able to use Japanese cards even with a reference. Dose anyone know if this is true? (sorry if this question isn't appropriate for this thread.)

Nintendo of America is gradually trying to phase foreign cards out of use. Currently you're allowed 6 foreign cards in a deck, provided they are from Supreme Victors and earlier sets. Come Worlds (which is mid-August), foreign cards won't be allowed for tournaments at all. (Oh yeah, and then there's the rotation as well.)

To add, this does differ a bit per country. In the USA, you can only use English cards. In Canada, you can also use French cards. In Europe, you can use Italian, French, German, Portugese and English cards.
