That's what I'm praying it is...I'm praying someone started working on this since we heard that the August issue would have a "huge" announcement, and they incorporated some of the rumored things (Mawile being Steel/Fairy, Gogoat Preevo) to give it legitimacy and just went through a lot of trouble to make it realistic (the cover, the characters etc), I'm really hoping this but I'm starting to give up and maybe think it's real...I'll be supremely disappointed
 
Mega pokemon=the level x of the pokemons video games. Now im almost sure the next set is ex free

Perhaps because they aren't proper evolutions, but the originals on steroids.

Mewtwo could be justified to be a more special case simply due to the fact its a genetically altered pokemon from the beginning.

So if these are technically more like formes than evolutions...then the difference to regular formes would be.. higher stats? That would put Rotom formes in this group though, since everything else has its stats readjusted. not increased.
 
Also, why isn't Orotto part of this leak? He's still yet to be "officially" confirmed??

Oh, I had thought Torchic was the one in the far right and was trying to guess what the Pokemon on the front left was.
 
The only one that bothers me is the Ampharos transformation, it seems almost as pointless as that Keldeo transformation.
The others are amazing.
 
Why do I feel like there is more to come? Oorotto, that Pokémon in the Torchic scan, plus the other part of the new Pokémon page.
 
Apparently one of the rumors how these Mega pokemon are obtained would be for example, to level up Combusken (spelling?) while holding the Blaziken Knight and it would then evolve into MegaBlaziken. The only question is, how would this apply to Pokemon like Mawile, Mewtwo, and Absol? Maybe this confirms that Absol and Mawile get evos as well?

And let's be real here this is pretty big news.
 
We're probably going to get more, seeing as there are a few incomplete scans.

The unevenness of the new forms kind of annoys me, but otherwise I am excited. Heck, maybe revealing more of them will be a part of new events and DLC or something like that, where you can get "special" items or Pokemon to evolve? It would make sense.

Also read that apparently rockstar!Ampharos is an Electric/Dragon. That's quite the change.

As this situation reminds me a lot of the fourth generation, a good bet would be around 30.

Now that these Pokémon have different names as well, will they get their own Pokédex number? I do think so.

Blaziken seems just as ''radical'' as MegaMewtwo.

Maybe because it isn't a naturally-born Pokemon so its body changes more drastically?
 
More rumored details:

“Mega” Pokemon; These new supercharged versions of their previous ones are NOT traditional evolutions or forms, but happen through a “Mega Evolution” process. Information suggests that this is a held item, possibly unique to each Pokemon with a Mega version. Getting ‘Mega’ evolutions/forms are: Blaziken, Lucario, Ampharos (Electric/DRAGON, ability: Mold Breaker), Mawile (Steel/Fairy), Mewtwo (ability: Insomnia) and Absol. More could be revealed!
Mega evolutions are only accessible during battle

Ampharos has always been one of my fave Pokemon and this would be awesome, but why? What is Dragon about Ampharos?? I don't get any of this
 
Ampharos gets dragon? Hell yeah! And apparently mega lucario has adaptability which will f***ing awesome
