Pokemon How did you find Pokemon?

I was playing in the Gravel where my house was being built, when this chubby kid from across the street came over and asked me to play with him. Using the skills I even had back at 6 years old, I persuaded him to give me all of the "weird cards" that he had. I bought more, and got hooked.
 
It all started when one day, I found my brother's copy of Red and asked him what it was. Then a couple days later, Ruby came out and I got it to see for myself and was hooked. I still remember that when I got it, it was $50 at Kmart xD
 
I was at my local video rental store, and I was tired of all the dinosaur mvies I rented every time. I saw the episode of Pokemon where Pikachu fights Onix. I liked it, but I wasn't enough to make me love it. A few months later, I saw "Let's Find Pokemon!" at a garage sale. I liked finding stuffs, so I bought it. I also saw The first version of the Official Pokemon Handbook. This is what it all comes down to. I read this thing everyday. I assembled a team basd on "good against" and "bad against." There were no normal types (good against: none. bad against: rock). I still have it memorized that Charizard is 5' 3''. When I bought Pokemon Blue a few months later, I was officialy hooked. Worth noting was that by the time I got Blue, Ruby was out.
 
I did not even know pokemon exsited untill my dad brought home the old base set starter deck because he wanted to know what all the hype was about. Well we played with that for a while and and bought more cards but the closest league was an hour away and my dad did not like the drive. Around the same time I discovered what video games where and then found out that pokemon had several video games. My first game was pokemon red on the old gameboy. I never stopped playing the video games and have at one tiem or another played all of the RPG games. Then when we moved to where we are now we found out that their was a pokemon league not but 15 minutes from us and I quickly got back into the cards so now I'm a full time pokemaniac. My mom still cant stand it when I talk to my dad about decks and stuff.
 
I can't remember what came first, the TV show or the game. because I got the game the year it came out and it was all by word of mouth I do believe.
