ok so the day before yesterday, i went outside after it had been pouring rain. our driveway is SUPER steep, and i was going down, full speed, on my scooter. ( BIIIG MISTAKE!!! ) I realized halfway down the hilll that the road was wet and slippery. I tried the breaks, hoping they'd work, and of course, no thanks to me being stupid and the wet road, the breaks diddn't work and i made a sharp turn to keep myself from going into a pond. The scooter fell out from under me and i skiddded on my stomach for about a foot. Now i heve some cuts in my knee and a big nasty gash on my ankle. Mom treated my ankle with some Neosporin and she dressed it with a gauze pad and wrapped it in an Ace bandage. ( We couldn't find any band aids, though they wouldn't have been big enough ) Now, this morning i tried to take the gauze pad off, but it's stuck to the scab! I don't really care about it scarring, but i want the pad off NOW!! I'll try soaking it in warm water.I want a painless remidy. Ive been pulling at it for the last hour and it hurts like heck! I NEED HELP!!!!

Nice job, Sir Einstein :D. I once did something like that. I tried riding my scooter down my backyard playground slide after it had recently rained. Sprained my wrist pretty bad.

Anyway, warming it in warm water should work. You said you were going to try it. If it doesn't work, post that it doesn't work. I may have a couple of other solutions. MAY being the key word there. In a worst-case scenario, you may have to wait a couple of days (so the dried blood starts to dissolve) and you should be able to get it off then.

The water should make the blood less adhesive. But the water may sting your cut, depending on how bad it is.

oh it diddn't sting too bad. Anyway, it worked really well. It wasn't hard,it was just sorta tedious and sorta painful. THANKS ANYWAY! I dabbed on some Neosporin, then made a sort of dome out of band aids. I'm just worried about my shoe rubbing on it in P.E at school tomorrow. -_- Not good. I need sum more advice on how to keep it from rubbing on my shoe, im gonna stick some cotton balls in there to see if that stops the rubbing. THX A LOT!

Don't use cotton balls, those will stick to your scab worse then gauze would. Maybe you could just try changing out the gauze more often, to prevent it from sticking.
