Has the world gone mad?!

The atmosphere in the world is heavy right now. I feel as though something bad is happening to the world right now. There are problems in every corner of the world.

There's nuclear threats and uneasiness in Korea. Drug wars and trafficking in Mexico. Shootings and rebellious actions occuring here in the United States (the shooting in Arizona). Political uneasiness in the Middle East. Suicide bombers in Europe. Not to mention the fact that we owe all of our money to China.

Now, call me paranoid, but I feel as though something terrible is going to happen to our world soon.

Discuss this. Am I a loon, or on to something?

2012!!!!!

lol. Yeah i have this feeling too. Its weird.
Every day on the news theire always something bad going on. Weird

But yeah its not just you

2012 doomsday theory will not occur, anyone that believes that must have a problem.

But anyway yes this world has gone mad. What happened to,"Only God knows when the world shall end".Instead,we plan when the world will end,How?by dispelling harmful gases and chemicals into our atmosphere. This causes a rise in Global Warming.Videogames such as Assassin's Creed can cause a loss of mental stability, causing some to become hostile and show symptoms of change in behavior. Those problems effect the world today.

We pick up on bad habits that others in the past created, and once you do you can almost never escape and even if you were too....it would be an unjust fate at best.

Global Warming is a growing problem that we need to fix, as for the Debt Crisis yeah China is a growing Superpower and If the U.S. wants to secure their stance on the world they need to fix whatever problems they have with them. The Democrats are saying that Global Warming doesn't exist? That's just a stupid excuse to stay away from bipartisanship policies in America, the Democrats and the Republicans need to work together to fix the country and solve their differences without conflict.

As for what's going on with North Korea and South Korea, the North is trying to negotiate with the South to try to end their feud and realizes that If they keep fighting against eachother that it could cause a nuclear holocaust which is something that nobody wants. I'm hoping that North and South Korea will end their feud with eachother.

From the Oklahoma City Bombing, to Columbine, to Virginia Tech, and to Arizona there's always going to be someone whose mentally insane with rebellious nature's that have lost sight of common sense. It's sad but it's true, but like Luigibuster8989 said people tend to pick up on bad habits that others in the past have created such as Nazism and Islamic terrorism that's almost unescapable that leads to an unjust fate.

Personally I think the world needs to calm down, work out their differences without war but in terms of peaceful methods with diplomacy and negotiations. Don't let religion determine conflict and let all religions coexist with one another. It's hard but If the world works hard at it we could achieve a peaceful endeavor that's beneficial not just for the safety and security of the world economy but for the sake of our children and our future as well.

You know, I have to say that in certain ways, yes, the world has seemingly taken a turn for the worse, whether it be the global economy, or the whole ordeal with greenhouse gases.

On the other hand, I've noticed the general opinion has been making it out that us humans live in a world of hatred, greed, and dishonesty, but I don't always see that. I've got a sneaking suspicion... that love is actually all around us.

Just a condensed version of my two cents. I'll post text walls more later if I deem it necessary.

Stuff like this happens all the time. History is cyclical. You're not going to change anything by worrying about it; either try to do something (which probably won't work) or relax.

Just remember to make sure your life insurance is paid up.

You know what they say, "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it." The problem? We haven't learned much from history when we should. Why do you think we learn it in school?

I thought reading out the U.S. Constitution at Capitol Hill was a smart move whoever idea it was. Of course people are still going to snub Obama for breaking the law of the Constitution of that to become a U.S. President you MUST be a U.S. born citizen.

Zenith makes a very good point. Stuff like this happens all the time, and has throughout history. We just aren't aware of it from our private homes unless the media makes a big deal about it.

To add on to the point about the media, they only report bad news anyway, never anything good. But history has shown things like this to happen before.

People only want to hear about the bad things, the crazy things, the controversial things.

Also, History class, to me, is a waste of time. It, in no way, helps me for college or the future. (Besides being required)

Like gengar said, the media typically focuses on the news on the negative side. Zenith is right. There have always been problems as large as the ones we face today. It certainly may not seem like it, however.

Agreed with Zenith. This is pretty much business as usual in the life of humanity. People tend to believe what the media tells them to believe, and of course the media likes to focus on bad stuff.

They say no news is good news, well "vice versa" also applies here... if everything was fine with the world, there wouldn't be as much on the news radar as what we get now.

It's high time for another war and I'm serious. We've been already for at least 65 years without a good and serious war, it's almost unavoidable. But it'll solve most, if not all, the problems. War will at least get the economy going around and thus solve the credit crisis. But Africa on the other hand has also been stupid, selling all their mines to China. But that's something to worry about when we run out of raw materials and fuel.

Global Warming. Get green and clean. I don't worry too much about that, we'll find a solution on time. It's a serious problem though.

And last but not least religion. Well, what to say, the more the world unites itself, the more conflicts you'll get. The number of religious people is also decreasing, causing them to feel cornered and uncomfortable etc. etc. etc. It'll calm down eventually. At least I hope so..

A war is something I'd like to be avoided. The world isn't mad, but it certainly is dangerous.

And 2012 has already been proven false.

Oh great. More reasons to hate myself and the world. Thanks.
But seriously, the only way to solve these problems is to do what you can to help whoever you can. Just be a good person, and hope for the best. Humanity, the world, the universe, it'll all work out, baby. ;)

I have bad feeling about 2012. Not because I think the world will end, but because of all the people that do think so. This may result in many unfortunate suicides. THose who will go to the extreme to not go with the world will commit suicide. I personally think it's crazy and stupid but there are many crazy and stupid people out there today. So what will happen on that day may be sad.

That seems possible. But no earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. We would know already. Nuclear weapons will probably be advanced in technology too.

This is what I think about too. People that just shoot people for a stupid reason. AND 2012 IS NEVER HAPPENING. The Mayans can't live forever. Nothing can live forever.

The Mayans never predicted that in the first place. They just had a calendar based of the positions of stars and planets, 2012 just appears to be the end of it, when the Earth lines up with the Sun and the center of the Milky Way again, a not so common event. The calendar is suposed to be started over again, it is just the misinterpretation and stupidity of people that create these myths. But on the other hand, 2012 will be a year of increased solar activity and Solar Flares, thus more and heavier storms, possible (but almost unavoidable) power cuts and so on. Sure, it would be an interesting year.

On more catastrophes this flooding is getting very out of control here in Queensland (a state in Australia where I live.) My gosh it is everywhere and there have been many people who have lost their lives already yet they are so close to where I live. I was pleased to here my granparens and uncles are alive after a flash flood. They have been evacuated via helicopter so they're all fine. It's just terrible, everywhere on the news it is on and I even saw it on a Dutch chanel.

I am watching the news in hope I don't hear any family members being announced missing or worse..

Edit:
Seems as if my suburb is next in line but my house should be fine.. I hope.. so if I'm gone you now know the reason
