Friday, 4/20, New Darkrai Trailer, D/P Air Tonight on CN

It's the greatest Pokemon ever, besides Arcanine. It's officially my second favorite.

Darkrai, I mean.

*drool*

Arcanine out.

Ugh, I give... there's no way I can avoid seeing D/P pokes' now, they're on the front page of all pokemon sites and in peoples signatures. Was hoping everything I saw in the game would be new and exciting (like when I got saphire) oh well, a dark legendary at last, he's cool... although the name seems abit obvious... why didn't they just call Dialga and Palkia, Steelrai and Waterrai while they were at it....

No, but why is it called Darkrai? What does Darkrai have to do with electricity, I wonder?
Note: "Rai" means electricity in Japanese

Man D/P coming out in English after Months of waiting. Pigeot has to be the one from the original season, and the tenth movie looks so good. Better seeming then the first movie. Can't wait to hear Dawn's voice. Can this weekend get any better?

The tenth movie? No way. I hate change. I really hate new. The 1st Gen will never be beaten. The first movie crushed lucario/mystery/mew, Dest.Deoxys, JirachiWishMaker, or anything new in comparison. I'm totally against the D/P format/ cards. I'm anti- Lv.X. I'm just not a "new" person.

MCD, then why are you here? No offense, but that's what Pokemon is all about. It's about changing and moving on. If there wasn't change then we would have a very dull world.

This dub sucks, as usual. The music is changed and the voices are still nowhere near as good as the Japanese. Looks like I won't be watching this one!

Not quite.
Pokemon's also about... well, making money. Industry. It's why Masuda is making Sinnoh. Or Hoenn. Or Johto. Why not leave it at Kanto? Simple. Where's the money? Pokemon will come of age, then die out. But it's perfectly fine to hate change and love Pokemon, it's just new players won't want the crusty old Kanto starters.

Plus, I'll be wasting time memorizing the (English) names of 107 new Pokemon, and another region. And play at the regionals. All in a day's work.

No offense.

Yes pokemon is about making money but also preparing us teaching basic math and reading skills. It's about devoloping good sportsmenship and making new friends. There are many life lessons that pokemon teaches us and the change shows that nothing can stay the same. There are allways new disoveries that will be found that change thing as we find them as is shown with pokemon, and that's what keeps things intresting! =D

Yes making money is a part of pokemon but it is not all of it.

XP Wow! that ws very dramatic but this is my opinion and it will not be changed.

Anyone who reads this pm and tell me what you think.

The "rai" in Darkrai comes from "kurai," the Japanese word for darkness. Darkrai's name literally means "dark dark."

Every time Paul came on that villian music came on. It was very scary! Also ... oh my GOSH! I wanted to literally punch him the face! He was a JERK! He was so perfect to be Ash's rival. His voice really pulled it off. Good Job! :D

Personally i like Dawn's voice & charisma, Personally i still like the name Shinji, it sounds like Stingy, which is what Paul is...i luv his voice too, very unforgiving, but as usual Ash makes a stupid bonehead mistake against him during their first fight Starly vs Starly....& comments him just as I would, why can't the ever make him smart??? Wel i guess thats what happens when u only go to school till ur 10....

Also i wished thatthey had kept the original Jap theme music, this lame junk that they gave us is terrible & soo short only 18 seconds!!!!

Oh...
I thought Yami meant Darkness...
My bad.

I really disliked the D/P dub. Dawn had an okay voice but no where near as good as the Japanese voice, I was impressed with Paul's though, I actually liked it. Anyway, the opening was horrible, just when I thought we couldn't get anything worse than the Hoenn PokeRap... =P And Piplup cuteness went waaaaaayyyy down in the English version. "Pocha Pocha" sounds a lot cuter than "Piplup Pip"...

Well 4kids still haunts Pokemon. If it weren't for them they wouldn't have all this crappy theme music and crappy names. Paul was probably the best Pokemon Trainers I ever saw in the Anime. Snotty, Great Trainer mind (with using the Pokedex only to check stats) and he's a smart alec. He's a jerk but funny, and his voice is pretty good. Dawn's voice is ok. Piplup cry is horrible, and it seemed in the preview his cry would stay the same as the Japanese. I guess I'm going to watch the Japanese version on Youtube.
