'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

I think Judge is a healthier form of hand disruption than N, N is just too good of a card throughout the game, perfect shuffle supporter on t1, perfect hand disruption in the lategame. It's too strong as a single card, Judge forces people to make decisions about whether they want hand disruption or higher counts of more powerful consistency supporters.

Noibat is cool but only in Expanded, and even that is a maybe imo - in Standard there is no point in playing the new colorless Noivern and it is even more pointless to waste a DCE on a 50 HP basic that will probably die on your next turn. Plus if you're going second your opponent might not even have any items left in their hand. So you'd have to lock your opponent's items with Noiver-GX first and then use Shining Celebi's ability to discard the items that you've locked. Which imo is a big no-no since despite the metal hype, Gardevoir is still popular and the new set will also boost it once again.

In Expanded you could play something like Garbotoxin/Noivern with Shrine of Memories and DDE. But then you'd have to give up using Silent Lab which puts you at an even bigger disadvantage against quad Sylveon. Noivern-GX/Altaria/Silent Lab/Shining Celebi would't work either for obvious reasons and imo Noivern needs Silent Lab or Garbotoxin.

I don't think you even need Noivern for Noibat in expanded. Just attack with little guy for a DCE and you made a big impact already. Especially againist a Zoroark-GX player with a giant hand.

  • Judge - Now we complete the 15 trainer cards for Forbidden Light. And it is also saved by the rotation. Maybe in SM-on, people will run 1 copy of this.
  • Tyrantrum - good ability... on a Stage 2, plus the fact that the atk doesn't spam DCE, and the fact that it is evolved from a Fossil which is almost impossible to RC it. 2-3 Geodudes
  • Scatterbug - this evil butterfly took Chespin's spot in this set. Anyways, we see this "Ultra Evolution" on an Abra from Mysterious Treasures, but on a coin flip. The one with ability is good but they didn't realized that FOGP is banned in Expanded. Too bad. 2 Geodudes.
  • Noibat/Noivern - Good with Shining Celebi for destroying Item Cards on your opponent so that Garb will spam it. But being a 100 HP Pokemon lets it down. 3 Geodudes
  • Rockruff - why do we struggle for the 60 HP and getting jealous to the Ash Rockruff in Japan if we'll get this in Sm6, I'll be guessing DuskLyc will be in there. The one that has a downgraded Midnight's GX atk.
  • Amaura/Aurorus - Same problem with Tyrantrum. Good but its a Stage 2 and being evolved from a Fossil problem. 2-3 Geodudes
  • Pheromosa - It's basically Dusk Mane but it 10 dmg lower and unspammable with DCE. 3 Geodudes
  • Clawitzer - Too complicated to use given the fact that its HP is vulnerable to Standard OHKO range. 2-3 Geodudes
  • Klefki - Plain Meh. 1 Geodude
  • Furfrou - Ehhh. 1 Geodude
The Unidentified Fossil trainer card. It's main and important effect is "play this card as it were a basic 60hp C Pokémon". That basically means RC is a legal action to evolve from Unidentified Fossil. The same can be said for Evosoda and/or Wally. It is considered a Basic pokemon while in play.

Its 15 new trainers.

Im looking out for a good tyrunt card to make tyrantrum playable. if its with shining celebi, if it has a 1 energy for 30 damage attack then tyrantrum could be hitting very good numbers (30+20 for strong energy, + 60 for ability would be 2 shotting most pokemon)

Picking out the best cards:

Guzzlord
Aurorous

Guzzlord/Aurorous is obviously going to be the best deck in format!

(Just kidding.)
Of course that isn't going to be BDIF, since Voltorb EVO/Pheremose is going to be the best. it loses prize cards with maximum efficiency, letting you most optimally utilize Pheremosa's second attack.

Well if that's all the Trainers, then no Sycamore for a Kalos set. RIP my full arts. Judge is good. I better stock up on the old professor promos.

Interesting seeing at least three or four Pokémon representing their second types for the first time one Generation after their debut. Though quite a few Pokémon have done that in the past (Scizor as Bug (TCG Grass) type in Generation IV and Tentacool as Poison (TCG Psychic) type in Generation VI).

You got me. Dude. I think you replace Riolu with something else like... Buzzwole but it makes 7/6. I wish 2 of the UB were Checklane promos. I'll post my partial set list once an English SM6 card revealed.

What if Heatran was replaced by Sugimori Flabebe? They released Sugimori ver. of a Basic of a Stage 2 line like Gible.
