this could be the revival of Mother in the U.S./Europe fans have been waiting for. This might even mean the English release of Mother 3 and if that works well future Mother games!

I for one have been waitng for this moment! It will come ive been on starmen.net for awhile and they just had news like this. But just to let you know, this is the SNES earthbound not a new one just the VC. If you already knew, sorry :D. But this might be are shcne to see MOTHER 3 come on the map.
 
i know. buti have been hoping for a earthbound/mother game as i would like to try one out and i dont have a snes, n64 or whatever you need to play it in english. and for $10.00 on the virtual console great deal! all virtual console games are 100 wii points or $10, right?

EB is for SNES so it will be 8 dollers of 800 wii points.
 
I heard about this just last night from a friend, and oh am I ever excited.

I just hope we don't have to wait a very long time...

It looks like Nintendo is finally starting to pay attention to the thousands of Mother series fans out there! Hopefully after this, Mother and Mother 3 will be translated and released on the VC. Then Super Mario RPG....
 
Earthbound for Virtual Console? I'm all for it, definately. It's really about time. >__> I will absolutely download it, once we get this confirmed.

Does anybody know about Nintendo Power magazine's "moon" teaser? They created a Photoshopped image of the Moon with several things hidden in it. Readers are supposed to stare at it and see if they can make out stuff. One thing people noticed was that this moon has a strong resemblance to the Earth as shown in the Mother logo.
 
There's a Moon game coming to the DS too. I think they were meaning that.

There are things hidden in that moon; it seems to imply many thigns at once and not just one game, EarthBound and Moon being two of the most likely.
 
You forgot one more: Harvest Moon. I'm still siding with Moon for the DS though. Earthbound's announcement will come soon enough, not in a month though.

Yes it is going to Wii! i havent heard much on it though.they r working on it as we speak.
