Pokemon Does Palkia look like a water-type Pokemon?

@ benny, Palkia sort of looks like a Psychic type since it's purple? Well then, do you think Lucario should be a water type, Zekrom should be a Dark type, and Reshiram should be an Ice type? If you don't, then what's the difference between them and Palkia? Colors mean nothing. (except for my awesome color code! :D )

@HypnoticLuxray- I just normally associate things by color. The fact that the little tag thingy that represents psychic type is pink makes me just associate a lot of psychics with purple and pink. And there are a good number. Mewtwo, Mew, Mr. Mime, Espeon, Spoink, Grumpig, Starmie, Jynx, Smoochum, Exeggcute, Slowpoke, Slowbro, and Sloking just to name a few. Its just a generalization. Like that a lot of fire types are red, water types are blue, grass are green, poison are purple, electric are yellow steel types are grey or silver, ground types are brown, and so on.

A "good number" does not imply "everything". It's not a good idea to generalise because since Gen I it's been clear that pokemon's typing is not necessarily defined by appearance.

Exactly. Jynx doesn't look like an Ice or Psychic type whatsoever. (If anything, the only type it even looks close to is Normal, in my opinion...)

Well yeah I agree some pokemon don't look like their typing suggests. BUT... my main point in saying that is that there is generalizations about typing based on color (see my previous post). In the case of Palkia, there are some features that make it appear as though it is not a water type (in my mind, color is one of them). But there are some features that make him look like a water type (fins and pearls).
