OU: Strategy Counter That Pokemon - Round 2

venusaur-mega.gif

Venusaur (F) @ Venusaurite
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis

This is more or less supposed to be MegaSaur, which resists Thunderbolt and Volt Switch, and with Thick Fat HP Ice and Flamethrower literally don't do anything. Meanwhile Venusaur can get Leech Seed on Manectric, recover with Synthesis, Curse up and just keep using Knock Off until Manectric dies. Manectric literally can't do anything back other than attempt to burn hax, which still won't change anything.

Wash Rotom is a huge richard.

Bossk (Tyranitar) @Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
248 Hp/252 Def/8 SpDef
Relaxed nature
~Stealth Rock
~Crunch
~Ice Beam
~Fire Blast

Apparently this is the new "standard" support tyranitar. IDK why we don't use SpDef Tyranitar anymore, but I haven't played OU in a while so I'll just roll with it. Tyranitar tanks everything Mega Manectric throws at it like a beast:

252 SpA Manectric Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Mega Tyranitar in Sand: 73-87 (18.1 - 21.5%) -- possible 5HKO

and then it proceeds to dish out quite a bit of damage, like a beast:

0 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Manectric: 168-198 (59.7 - 70.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

In addition, Tyranitar can set up Stealth Rock on a Volt Switch, which will shorten Manectric's lifespan considerably when combined with Sand damage.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb

252 SpA Mega Manectric Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 64-76 (16.6 - 19.7%) -- guaranteed 6HKO

252+ SpA Goodra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 250-295 (88.9 - 104.9%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO

I win.
