How do you mass delete contacts on an iPhone? because my father gave me his old one and he has over 1000 contacts, and it is taking a long tome to delete the contacts one by one. XD

You can do it through scynk if you have access to a MAC you just have to have an empty contacts list on your computer I also believe that you can do it through Itunes

Also, I think there is an app in Cydia called Erase Contacts which would do the job. Another App Store app is Contact Duster (haven't tried that one personally.
You can even delete your iPhone contacts on your PC.

Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time.
Hold them both until you see the screen go black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it.
Wait until the white Apple logo appears.
When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.

Is there any reason why you can't just reset the entire phone? That would delete everything on it... From there you could create a new apple ID and start from scratch.

(I understand that this is an old thread, but I'm responding in order to aid any people who, in the future, have the same problem.)
