But that isn't what this is about. It's about making catchy little tunes and sharing them for others to hear(whichcan be done by right clicking on the box and hitting copy, which gives you a code that can paste in music.) You're not going to compose a song in this, but that's just not what it's for.

And so this thread doesn't get locked again, please guys start posting up your codes.

for once i must actually agree with darthpika- this program is useless trash. even for stupid catchy ringtones.. the scale is garbage and its like one measure
 
One more post on how stupid the software is, and I'm warning (which makes little difference, but really >=/).

Either you used the software and share the code, or you don't post. End of story.
 
It's more usefull for turning of the sound and using it to practise spriting frankly.

this thread is in a discussion forum... not the entertainment forum. discussion is not limited to positive opinions. i think this has a lot more to deal with your personal opinion on this specific topic than anything? i think your "class conflict" post is more spam and irrelevant to the topic than any of the posts saying negative things about the program.

the point is: unless your interest in music is limited to making pretty pictures on a 16x16 block and listening to the pretty dings it makes, this software is almost immediately and ultimately a waste of time as comparable free music software is available that would not only let you do exactly what you're doing here, but also expand upon it both musically and lengthwise, change the variety of sounds, add effects, and contain numerous other features.

don't get me wrong: i did try it and played with it for like 5 minutes, mostly writing stuff and drawing pictures. but the dinging was really annoying and i was having trouble copying you guys a message so i'm done with it now frankly.
 
It was fun, but it kinda got annoying after leaving it on for 5 minutes straight.

Also, how do you get a code?

No, you're right; the "class conflict" comment had nothing to do with the thread topic and was spam. Also, I am not asking for everyone to be blissfully praising this (which is stupid). However, there comes to a point where there's enough bashing. I know that the software - by a long-shot - is useless in terms of composing, but some people can still use the program, and I'd rather not let this turn into a thread where we all call this piece of software trash and for the musically-illiterate.

Even more, I was not actually pointing at you, as you only posted once, but to other people who felt like messing around in this place.

alright, well i apologize for any unnecessary harshness in my post. i can definitely see your point on a larger scale and i really shouldn't have taken it as directed towards me. my opinion on it is still the same, but i suppose for people just starting out who are looking for a much smaller learning curve or just something to mess around in, this has some application.

Anyway, I don't see the big problem with the site. It's a simple pentatonic scale, yes, but let's not forget that the pentatonic is the basis of many, many pieces of music in a wide range of styles. There are many possibilities hidden in these five notes, if you're really creative with it.

Yes, everyone is right, its a pentatonic scale, however for the more musically knowledgeable its fun to see how the patterns you can make can almost be considered another form of musical notation.
