(1) Crobat Prerelease Promo for ‘Plasma Storm’ [1/12]

Im real satisfied Crobat is a beast and hes actually pretty decent. It could see some play with Hynotoxic Laser and Virbank
 
I am excited, unlike some forumers... I can't wait for this! I think the crobat is very playable with virbank. Think of it, Virbank gym is confirmed too. Heres what I read:

This crobat has a decent ability, allowing you to draw 2 cards per turn (In total, 1 for regular, 1 from night sight), I got a move that for 3 energy does 40 damage, and guarantees 40 damage per turn! No matter what! And, with Virbank, I do 60 damage! Great, right? AND, I got 130HP! What a bundle!
 
Its more like:

Pros
100 damage for 3 and the probability for 160. Free retreat. Extra draw. 130 HP per price (not like EXs 90). OHKO Mewtwo. Free retreat its first evolution.

Cons
Mewtwo KO's it with 2 energies. Mewtwo donks Zubat. Stage 2.

Except:
You have to stream stage 2's
You have to get three energy on each of your stage two's
They can retreat out of the poison, so you just did 100 for 3 energy on a stage 2.

Just sayin', stage 2 attackers are pretty much never good in this format. Having to get 2-3 energy doesn't help. Consider how good Empoleon and Garchomp look on paper, and how unsuccessful they both were, I highly doubt Crobat will be playable. Especially since that ability was copied from a Nocktowl in HGSS, which was a stage 1.

Where exactly would you get a picture of just that part of the cards?
 
Ooh, might actually have to hit the prerelease now. Wasn't planning on it since I'm actually getting a box for once, but that'll be a neat promo, and I've got a friend who is really thinking about playing Crobat.

Actually, it has Electric weakness, so Mewtwo can only OHKO with 4 energy, assuming 3 on Crobat.

He was probably factoring in Hypnotoxic Laser - which chances are you already gave them the Virbank stadium to use already.

so: XBall on a Crobat with 3 energy = 100 damage +30 with hypnotoxic and virbank combo
 
I like the ne card. I wish we had a full pic though so I can see all the moves and HP etc. I also liked the cards in the previous posts too.:)
