Standard Meta Counter Mega Gardevoir Steam Siege deck (BKT - FLI)

This is just a deck I've put together to try and counter the big decks of the current metagame (most of them anyway), being Buzzwole-GX, Ultra Necrozma-GX/Malamar and Necrozma-GX/Malamar. It takes advantage of the dual typing Mega Gardevoir-EX has, being Fairy/Psychic and has repeatable Ability...

    Expanded (Rogue) Lurantis the Unkillable

This is a deck I have been building and trying out a few times so far, over several months. I have not taken it to a tournament, but I know it can provide quite some fun in friendly matches. The goal in this deck is to take two-hit knockouts with Lurantis GX's Solar Blade while forcing your...

    Expanded Genesect/Bronzong: Turbo edition

I have been experimenting with the Genesect-EX deck in Expanded, which appears to be rather solid for the current state of that format, as it can give Night March trouble (Drampa+Karen+Resistance), can be hard for Garbodor PsychicBox decks to take down and does not have many bad matchups overall...

Discussion Okay, Tapu Lele-GX's Price is Outrageous

As for me, I have no Lele as of now but I either include plenty of deck thinners (Nest Ball, Xerneas, Max Elixir, etc.) or make the deck's setup very reliable (all Basic for example) when I build a deck for a tournament. I have rather ordinary results but I also am a relatively unlucky player, I...

Discussion Okay, Tapu Lele-GX's Price is Outrageous

I can confirm your point on that last line, you can't get a Tapu Lele-GX under 75 dollars where I live.

Discussion Okay, Tapu Lele-GX's Price is Outrageous

Damn lucky, I opened 15 booster packs from a GRI box on Monday and got just 2 Ultra Rares, one Turtonator-GX UR and one Lycanroc-GX FA. All I know of Tapu Lele-GX being pulled out of packs is from when someone pulls one right next to me.

Standard When a Darkness player gets bored in Standard...

I would appreciate having extra draw Supporters in the deck but we have yet to have ones that are good enough for me to include, other than Professor Sycamore and N. An Oranguru could be a good support for the deck but I tend to have hands of 3+ cards practically 100% of the time. It only would...

Standard When a Darkness player gets bored in Standard...

I had been testing multiple decks that comprised Yveltal-EX in the past few months, both online and in tournaments. Earlier this week I thought: what would happen if I put nothing but Yveltal in a deck? I then challenged myself to build a such list, tested it a little bit and came to a rather...

    Standard Umbreon GX Deck

Problem with Tapu Lele against Gardevoir: they will one hit KO you while you two hit KO them. However I recommend putting Espeon-EX in the deck and sniping Gardevoir-GX with Shadow Bullet beforewards to get devastating Knockouts with Miraculous Shine.

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

Don't know how many Crimson Invasion packs I'll buy. Burning Shadows has yet to land me a Pokémon-GX with 18 opened packs so far (ratios are six per box) and singles almost always feel more worth it than packs.

Help Should I just move to Expanded?

This is one reason why I want to play in the Expanded format: even though it'll be a rough experience at first, it will only make me a better player. I'll have to deal with more than just big tanks that build up to 1-hit K.O.s or two-shot with denial (Think Gardevoir-GX, Golisopod-GX...

Standard Mega Gardevoir/Xerneas in Standard no Tapu Lele

Being a player who still lacks Tapu Lele-GX in his collection, I have to get somewhat creative with my deck builds to attempt getting around the consistency issues that creates. So far, the most efficient way I found for making a deck somewhat consistent without Tapu Lele-GX is to play a lot of...

Help Should I just move to Expanded?

So I've been playing all of my tournaments in the Standard format so far. The meta was interesting, people brought all kinds of different decks to them, although I sometimes ran into repeat matchups, and on PTCGO there was a lot of variety. Recently though, I built a couple of BREAKthrough-on...

News Alolan Exeggutor-GX from SM4 Revealed!

I would say that playability-wise, it's a 5/10. Pros: Huge HP Heavy Ball and Heavy Boots compatible Very useful GX Attack that deals (often) 1-shot damage and moves all the Energy you want around Sniping Attack Cons: Weak to Fairy Overpriced second attack Probably evolves from a really fragile...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

One quick word about Special Conditions at the moment: Zoroark, Comfey, Float Stone, Switch, Escape Rope, Guzma, Acerola, Pokémon Center Lady and just Retreating all at least counter some of them. Many of them counter them all.

Although Alolan Muk probably still prefers Po Town to set up Acerola plays.

    Discussion What's up with Garbodor?

So, I think it is time that we discuss the Garbodor from Guardians Rising one more time. This card was expected to be extremely influencial to the meta when it was first announced, then got 23 finishes in the top 32 at Seattle Regionals, in the Masters division. It stayed a very strong and...

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

On one side, it is potentially broken. On the other side, we still have Yveltal-EX which can take a huge advantage of the opponents's Kiawe. (Don't forget Gardevoir-GX that came out in Burning Shadows, which can counteract Kiawe after the second turn).

    Standard Umbreon-GX/Yveltal-EX

I've been considering Fighting Fury Belt with this deck. I find it to be great in Yveltal-EX/Garbodor BKP, however, in Umbreon-GX/Yveltal-EX, there are both Basic and Evolved attackers. This makes Fighting Fury Belt somewhat complicated to use, as it only works with half of my attackers...
