  • Well, thanks to you too then! I actually had to edit out my avatar from something that someone else made for a signature. Took me forever to be happy with how it looked haha.
Squirtle actually isn't used for attacking. Blastoise maybe but only if you're in a pinch. Keldeo and Black Kyurem EX are the attackers.

As for sets, Keldeo EX is from Boundaries Crossed and Legendary Treasures. It was also a tin Promo. Black Kyurem EX is from Plasma Storm, Blastoise is from Boundaries Crossed and Plasma Blast and is a Secret Rare in Plasma Storm, the best Squirtle is from Boundaries Crossed, Computer Search is from Boundaries Crossed, Dowsing Machine is from Plasma Storm, Superior Energy Retrieval is from Plasma Freeze, Professor's Letter is from X&Y, Ultra Ball is in Dark Explorers, Plasma Blast and Flashfire, Professor Juniper is from Black & White and Plasma Blast, N is in Noble Victories and Dark Explorers, Colress is from Plasma Storm, Shauna is from X&Y, Skyla is from Boundaries Crossed. I would recommend buying Plasma Storm packs since you need so many cards from there, also Boundaries Crossed and Dark Explorers. For the rest I'd say stick to singles.

I'd be happy to answer any questions, TCG or not!
There is no deck that uses Blastoise EX and Yveltal EX together. To be honest Blastoise EX isn't that great of a card right now, but I feel it may have potential in the future. Empoleon is a great card but it's sort of in a weird place right now where it's good, but not good enough.

    Skeleton list:

    3 Keldeo EX
2 Black Kyurem EX Plasma Storm
    4-0-3 Blastoise
    -------------------- 15 Pokémon
    -------------------------------------
1 Computer Search/Dowsing Machine (up to preference)
    4 Superior Energy Retrieval
    3 Professor's Letter
    4 Rare Candy
    4 Ultra Ball
    1 Super Rod
    3 Professor Juniper
    4 N
    2 Colress/Shauna (up to preference)
    3 Skyla
    -------------27 Trainers
    ----------------------------
    9 Water Energy
    3 Lightning Energy
    ------------------------ 12 Energy
    --------------------------------------

5 Open spaces. A good idea for people who don't run Tropical Beach is to use a 2-2 Electrode Plasma Storm line. It's Ability ensures stable draw. The strategy of the deck is just like the old Rain Dance deck from back during the Base Set era. Use Blastoise's Ability to power up attackers. Black Kyurem EX one-shots everything except for Mega Evolutions. (but those are hardly played anyways)

    Any questions?
Hi! I read that you want to get back into the competitive TCG. I'm one of the Professors on this forum so if you need help you can ask one of us!

Have any particular decks caught your eye? I think Blastoise/Keldeo is a great competitive deck for beginners/people just getting back in the game. It really gives you a feel for how the game is currently played and it's not ultra expensive unless you choose to run Tropical Beach. Would you like a skeleton list?
Hello, Terridactual!!! Welcome to Pokebeach!!! :) I hope you enjoy your stay and also to stay for quite a while! ;) I see you're wanting to re-enter the TCG, so, if you have any questions or anything, just come to me, I'd be happy to help you! See you around!
