Hassel Revealed from “Mask of Change!”

Hassel has just revealed from SV6 Mask of Change! Thanks goes to Jake C. for the translation!

Hassel – Trainer
Supporter

You can play this card only if any of your Pokémon were Knocked Out during your opponent’s last turn.

Look at the top 8 cards of your deck. Put up to 3 of them into your hand, and shuffle the rest into your deck.

In Scarlet and Violet, Hassel is an art teacher at the academy and the Dragon-type specialist of the Paldean Elite Four. His card shows some of the artwork behind him from the games. He should also get a full art card in the set.

Mask of Change will release in Japan on April 26th. It should combine with March’s Crimson Haze to form our Twilight Masquerade set in May.

Looks like a Hassel to play with.
Research allows you to see the next seven cards and keep them. This allows you to see eight cards and keep three, for the dubious advantage of keeping what you already had. Without the first clause, this card would be a mildly playable Supporter, perhaps a less universal Research alternative. With it, it just seems bad.

I don't think this meets like standard power level because it doesn't do anything really specific or anything but it could be fun in like Cube formats. It's a cute card though

There's no proof of Research being reprinted in H block, is there? So maybe this could be useful someday?

Pokemon is trying to shoehorn in more LGBTQ+ characters
You sound brainwashed. Pokemon tries to represent all types of people as powerful Trainers, as they should. 80% of people in the world identify as heterosexual. If it scares you that there's other types of people out there, know that LGBTQ+ people are around you every single day. There's probably some in your family too. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Genuinely not bad. Quick and easy recovery from Iono (depending on your hand size beforehand) With the only Downside of it is not knowing if you'll get Hassel. But considering Digging Duo saw little to no play, it's probably too much of a hassle to include
