“Temporal Forces” Releasing in March, Another Near-Simultaneous Release with Japan?

We can exclusively reveal March’s English SV5 set will be named Scarlet & Violet: Temporal Forces. The set logo hasn’t been revealed yet.

Temporal Forces will officially release on March 22nd. Prereleases will take place from March 9th to 17th.

In the past we would normally get a new set in February, but the release of January’s special Paldean Fates means SV5 will be pushed to March. However, we should be back on schedule with May’s SV6 set.

Our Temporal Forces set will be based on Japan’s upcoming Wild Force & Cyber Judge, which will be dual sets releasing on January 26th. Based on their names, we speculated they would feature Walking Wake ex (Ancient) and Iron Leaves ex (Future). Their release will be accompanied by two “Starter Deck & Build Sets” that are confirmed to feature a new Koraidon ex (Ancient) and Miraidon ex (Future).

Our set might also be based on Japan’s upcoming Crimson Haze set, which will release on March 22nd. It will feature new Pokemon from The Teal Mask.

Both our Temporal Forces set and Japan’s Crimson Haze set will release on March 22nd. If our English set does feature Crimson Haze, this would be yet another English set releasing the same week as a Japanese set it’s based on. The same situation occurred with Obsidian Flames and Paradox Rift, our last two sets.

In other words, this could be another English set featuring a chunk of cards that released in Japan a few months prior, then the rest is made up of cards releasing in Japan around the same time. If this pattern continues, this would mean our English set would “sync” with Japan’s sets every three months (with some exceptions, as some of our cards are cut).

Because of Paradox Rift prereleases, some of the secret rares were revealed before Japan opened them in their Ancient Roar & Future Flash boxes the following week. This could also be the case for Temporal Forces. We may see the secret rares from the set on March 9th during prereleases, then Japan will begin to open their Crimson Haze booster boxes two weeks later.

If these near-simultaneous releases continue, the entire world will get to play with a chunk of brand new cards around the same time.

I guess March makes sense was lowkey hoping for Feb but yeah if we will have Crimson Haze then it makes sense. Id say it wont be the exact same feeling as PR since now we will only have 1/3 of a set before Japan. But what will this mean for future sets? since we typically have our sets based on jpn main set and the previous subset

This set will introduce Tera Paradox Pokemon to the TCG, I hope!

So we can assume now rotation will be the same day, right? My guess that it would be in April was close to right! :)

Rotation will probably happen when this set is legal for tournaments. in Japan would be same day it will be released and in TCG Live too

These simultaneous releases are interesting as it allows leaks and previews from both to really push out accurate speculated set lists early on!

I believe all our major sets will become legal on international championship dates n worlds. And rotation also. So with this rotation be apiril 5th our set after will be legal June 7th. Then next set be released end ish of July and worlds first weekend of August.

I Wonder if Ace Specs will be new or the same ones but reprinted, I know it not gonna happen cause the game never take a risk or goes too crazy with effects but I want one that allow to switch both active Pokemon from owner, then you can give your opponent the Ancient Domphan that discard 5 cards at the end of the turn and force your opponent to auto mill

Would English not be more likely to copy exactly what happened this year? Triplet Beat released before the English Scarlet & Violet base set released.
Yeah. The same has hapenned last year with Brilliant Stars and Battle Region, and the years before with Battle Styles and Peerless Fighters and Sword & Shield and VMAX Rising. All those sets came out the same day as the japanese subset though none contained any cards from those. I don't think we'll get a double set plus a subset plus cards from the starter decks all at once.
I still think Crimson Haze will be put in our SV6.

TRULY a wonderful irony we have here... the instant the Paradox mechanics were instated, all of our sets have been on the same release schedule worldwide. Go figure! XD

The difference is for the last two sets they've been near-simultaneous releases, indicating a change in their philosophy about release scheduling. But all of this is currently speculation, so we can't say either way right now, it's just important to point it out in the article since a pattern may be emerging.

And what a wonderful pattern it is!

Oh with the nineteenth type I wonder if the cards will have like a swirled rainbow effect on them or maybe a nice turquoise for teropagos. Koraidon and Moraidon are also rumored to get new fors with the nineteenth type so that should be cool to see. All in all very exciting.

Wonder how they're going to handle Ogerpon Ex, maybe like one for each of its mask types? Or maybe a base form ex and then tera ex for each mask? Idk. I'm sure blood moon ursaluna is gonna be an ex, and so is archaludon, but maybe we'll get to see like returning pokemon get their exs like a new trio of exs for the johto starters and the sinnoh starters. Idk just super hyped I think ex's are wayyyyy better then the vs and the gxs. All the text blurring the pokemon wasn't favorable so these are easily better.

Do you guys think we’ll get Ace Specs in this set or will they save it until after they’ve done all of the Paradox Pokémon?
