New Pikachu V and Eevee V Releasing in Special ‘CoroCoro’ Version of ‘Start Deck 100!’

Back in June, CoroCoro held a “King of Combo” art contest where fans could submit drawings of their favorite Pokemon combo. Now the magazine will be distributing brand new cards of the winning duo: Pikachu V and Eevee V. Each card has a special “CoroCoro Comic” stamp.

The two cards will release in a special CoroCoro version of the “Start Deck 100” decks — making this a special 101st deck! In the ad above they show their deck will come with a CoroCoro-exclusive playmat and Pokemon V coin.

The winner of the contest will receive one of the decks in addition to autographed artwork by Machito Gomi, the artist for the Pokemon Journey manga that runs in CoroCoro. Thirty runner-ups will also receive the deck. CoroCoro will announce in their next issue how the general public can also receive the deck — it may be through some kind of contest or lottery. If so, these could turn out to be limited-edition cards.

As you can see on the two cards, they’re labeled #001/024 and #007/024 and their set symbol is “SN.” This is different from the cards in Start Deck 100, which are labeled out of 414 cards and have “SI” as their set symbol. Most 60-card decks that Japan releases feature around 24 cards, such as the Inteleon and Gengar VMAX High Class Decks, so this will definitely be a full-sized deck.
