Dragon Pokemon Return to the TCG: ‘Sky Stream’ & ‘Towering Perfection’ Revealed!

Creatures has officially revealed S7R Sky Stream and S7D Towering Perfection! As posted before, they will release on July 9th. Each set will feature 67 cards before secret rares.

The sets should become part of our August set, Evolving Skies.

Both sets will feature the return of Dragon-type Pokemon! They have been absent from the TCG since the start of the Sword & Shield block.

Dragon Pokemon will have no Weakness or Resistance. They have a new “claw scratch” in the top right corner of the card, which distinguishes their card template from all other types. Each Dragon Pokemon will continue to use Energy requirements that roughly match the color scheme of the individual Pokemon.

While Creatures never stated Dragon Pokemon were dead, Fairy has officially been killed.

The sets will not be sold at Pokemon Center stores. They will only be available through its online store via a special lottery.

Thanks goes to Bangiras and Toine L. for the card translations!

Oh, Dragon... How I missed you. It was only a year and a half, but I missed you.

And... Hoo boy. I'm in love with this Rayquaza VMAX card. I'm sure my Rayquaza bias is probably making it way more exciting, but... Yeah. I'm super excited.

Do we have any clue if they're permanently back? Or is this just for a short while? Because the Dragon symbol smack dab in the center and the claws behind the HP/Type seem a little too cool.

Interesting to note that Ray has gone back to the lightning fire for its energy types. When we get Ray GX it was grass lightning. If there is one thing we know is that Ray is going to be meta.

Love how they included Ampharos/Denrryuū on the list just for the sake of the pun.
Also, I guess this pretty much confirms (or at least is a very likely hint) towards a future Regidrago card being dragon-type rather than Colorless

Duraludon: Wide Breaker > Breaking Swipe, a move that a lot of Dragon Pokemon get by TM.

Given the context of the attack and Dragonite's design, Dragonite's attack should be called "Dragon Gale".

Turtonator: Trap Shell > Shell Trap. its signature move. Heat Stamp > Heat Crash, one of its TR moves.

More to come as article is updated.
