The next English Sword & Shield set will see the release of a new “Battle Stadium Box.” It will retail for around $60 and release on August 27th with the rest of the set’s products. No other details are currently known and we won’t have images for a while.
In October 2004, Pokemon USA released an “EX Battle Stadium” box that was basically a 2-player theme deck kit (covered by me in this news story from 2004, gawd I’m old). However the new product may be completely unrelated. I’m not sure TPCi’s memory goes back far enough to revive and update a product from 2004. The old product retailed for $21.99, which was a third of the price of the new item:
Enter a whole new world of competition! Pokémon TCG: EX Battle Stadium allows intermediate players to advance their skills with this self-contained Pokémon set. EX Battle Stadium features two pre-constructed decks highlighting powerful Pokémon favorites, Blaziken and Gardevoir. An all-new 16-page strategy guide provides the latest tips and tactics, including the secrets of 2-on-2 Battle. Four 10-card sideboards enhance the tactical experience as the strategy guide uses those sideboards to teach players about deck building strategies. This box set contains everything needed for immediate play, and remains compatible with previous releases.
- Self-contained box set contains all elements for immediate game play
- Two 60-card theme decks, including 2 holographic foil cards (Blaziken and Gardevoir)
- Four 10-card sideboard packs
- 160 cards total, all from EX Series

As of now we don’t know details about the next English set beyond its August 27th release date and the fact it will feature typical items like an Elite Trainer Box and promo blister packs. The yearly set schedule will return to normal with its release date.
