‘Alter Genesis’ Booster Pack, Booster Box Images!

Creatures has not publicly revealed SM12 Alter Genesis yet, but we already have images of its booster pack, booster box, deck box, and card sleeves!

As you can see on the booster box, the set will feature Black Kyurem, Cosmoem, and Mawile. In the background of Mawile’s artwork you can also see Mega Lopunny and Clefairy Jigglypuff. Mega Lopunny never received a Mega Evolution card during the XY era, so at least it’s getting a cameo now.

A Dragon-type Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX was already revealed, featuring Arceus with its Draco Plate. The same Dragon-type Arceus is seen above: a purple mandala that would normally be gold and green-colored highlights that would normally be gray.

Alter Genesis will release on September 6th and feature 95 cards (excluding secret rares). It’ll be the last main Sun & Moon set. It will feature Legendary Pokemon from multiple generations. It will also be the first set to feature a TAG TEAM Supporter card: Red & Green. It will become part of our Cosmic Eclipse set on November 1st.

Only two cards have been revealed so far:

Togepi & Cleffa & Igglybuff-GX – Fairy – HP240
Basic Pokemon (Tag Team)

[Y][Y][C] Rolling Panic: 120+ damage. Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 30 more damage for each heads.

[Y][Y]+ Supreme Puff GX: Take another turn after this one. (Skip the between-turns step.) If this Pokemon has at least 14 extra [Y] Energy attached to it (in addition to this attack’s cost), your opponent shuffles all of their Benched Pokemon and all cards attached to them into their deck. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your Tag Team is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Weakness: Metal (x2)
Resistance: Darkness (-20)
Retreat: 2

Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX – Dragon – HP280
Basic Pokemon (Tag Team)

[W][M][C] Ultimate Ray: 150 damage. Search your deck for up to 3 basic Energy cards and attach them to your Pokemon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.

[M]+ Altered Creation GX: For the rest of this game, your Pokemon attacks do 30 more damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). If this Pokemon has at least 1 extra [W] Energy attached to it (in addition to this attack’s cost), when your opponent’s Active Pokemon is Knocked Out by damage from those attacks, take 1 more Prize card. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your Tag Team is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Weakness: Fairy (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

Update: The official Japanese Pokemon TCG website has officially revealed the set.
