‘Alter Genesis’ To Feature More Tag Team Trios and a New Tag Team Supporter! By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 1 year ago to TCG 18 comments We’ve received a scan of the official Alter Genesis preorder sheet! The sheets are sent to stores by Pokemon and always announce exciting facts about an upcoming set to encourage preorders. Alter Genesis will feature another Tag Team card with three Pokemon — this time it’ll be Solgaleo & Lunala & Ultra Necrozma-GX! All three Pokemon share the Psychic-type, so their card will as well. The set’s dummy booster pack showed Dialga, Palkia, Solgaleo, and Lunala. Since we’ve now learned that the Solgaleo and Lunala are referencing Solgaleo & Lunala & Ultra Necrozma-GX, it’s possible the Dialga and Palkia are referencing a Dragon-type Dialga & Palkia & Giratina-GX. This is just speculation, though. The set will feature a first-of-its-kind Tag Team Supporter card! The Supporter will work like a Tag Team’s GX attack where you have a regular effect and then a stronger secondary effect if additional conditions are met. The preorder sheet confirms a “Red & Green” Tag Team Supporter card will appear in the set, as you can see with the dummy image above. It also states the set will feature many Legendary Pokemon from different games. As posted before, Alter Genesis will release on September 6th and feature 95 cards (excluding secret rares). It’ll be the twelfth main Sun & Moon set — and likely the last one. Judging by the past few generations, a Sword & Shield set will probably drop in December. Thanks goes to Bangiras for the translations and Law T. for the news! Update (1:30 AM): We just received the preorder sheet for High Class Pack 2019. It confirms our theory that the set will mostly contain reprinted cards. There will only be a few new cards and some new full art versions of Supporters and Items, as with The Best of XY. These sell sheets always highlight the most exciting information about a set. This one doesn’t mention anything else, so the set probably won’t have any other special treatments (like shiny versions or alternate art reprints of Tag Team Pokemon). As posted before, High Class Pack 2019 will feature 173 cards and release on October 4th. We suspect the set’s full name will be High Class Pack 2019: Tag All Stars based on trademark listings.
