‘Hidden Fates’ Tins Featuring Charizard-GX, Gyarados-GX, Raichu-GX! By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 2 years ago to TCG 13 comments Three new Hidden Fates tins featuring Charizard-GX, Gyarados-GX, or Raichu-GX will release in America and Europe on September 6th! Each tin will feature one of the three promo cards, four Hidden Fates booster packs, and a PTCGO code card. The Pokemon will likely originate from the Pokemon TCG “Family Box” Set, which was released in Japan on March 15th. The previously-announced Glaceon-GX Tin has now been marked as a Christmas tin by the distributor who originally listed it, with the placeholder date still the same as the first Hidden Fates products (meaning the distributor considers it part of the Hidden Fates product line, but hasn’t announced the tin’s specific release date yet). Assuming Glaceon’s listing isn’t some kind of unprecedented error, it would seem Hidden Fates will be a combination of cards from both GX Ultra Shiny and the Family Box set. This would mean the set will see product releases from August through at least Christmas, which lines up with the product release schedules of Shining Legends and Dragon Majesty. We’ll find out more details soon, so stay tuned! Charizard-GX – Fire – HP250 Stage 2 – Evolves from Charmeleon [R][R][C][C] Flamethrower: 140 damage. [R][R][C][C] Flare Blitz: 300 damage. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) When your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. Weakness: Water (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 3 Gyarados-GX – Water – HP230 Stage 1 – Evolves from Magikarp [W][W][W][C] Dragon Rage: 130 damage. [W][W][W][C] Hyper Beam: 240 damage. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) When your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. Weakness: Lightning (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 3 Raichu-GX – Lightning – HP210 Stage 1 – Evolves from Pikachu [L][L][C] Thunderbolt: 120 damage. [L][L][C] Spark Ball GX: 200 damage. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) When your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. Weakness: Fighting (x2) Resistance: Metal (-20) Retreat: 1
I think there will not be a complete set just based on the "Family Box Set". So making 3/6 of the set's GX promos is actually a good thing if the combination of GX Ultra Shiny and this and some more promos and Remix Bout is the real "Hidden Fates" set. Because this will add 33 common/uncommon/rare cards with good artwoork, which you then will get anyway when you are trying to collect the 100 shinies. There needs to be some "filler". The other 3 GX could be promos too. The Glaceon could also be a card from Remix Bout or another Japanese promo now.
How many Charizard gx are we going to get? There are so many other pokemon that can use some love too.
Man these cards are gonna be awesome to play with.... imagine your opponents face when you slap one of these down.
A new story has just been posted to PokéBeach's front page: 'Hidden Fates' Set Logo Further Confirms 'GX Ultra Shiny' in America! Posts you make after this point will immediately appear on the front page and vice versa. Discuss!
I feel like the price of that Charizard is pretty much going to dictate whether or not I even touch this set.
