First Product Image of ‘Island Guardians Tins’ Featuring Tapu Koko and Tapu Bulu!

We now have the first product image of this summer’s “Island Guardian Tins” featuring Tapu Koko-GX and Tapu Bulu-GX! As posted before, both tins will be released on May 19th. They will each come with four booster packs and a PTCGO card.

Tapu Bulu-GX comes from the Tapu Bulu-GX Enhanced Starter Set, which was released in Japan last week. Tapu Koko-GX is from SM2 Islands Waiting for You (also released last week), but our English promo will feature brand new artwork that hasn’t been released in Japan yet.

Tapu Bulu does not feature new artwork. This fact seems to imply that this tin will be the only way to get Tapu Bulu-GX. As in, TPCi may not be shoving it into Guardians Rising, our SM2 set. I mentioned a few months ago that TPCi does not have enough Pokemon-GX to feature in promo products due to how new they are (hence the reprinted Kingdra and Scizor-EX boxes, the Legacy Pin Collection with reprints, etc.). Now it seems Japan has so many of them in their extra decks and mini-sets that TPCi can now throw them into their own dedicated promo products.
