XY9 Frogadier!

On their way to revealing Greninja and Greninja BREAK, the official Japanese Pokemon Twitter has now revealed Frogadier (#28/80) from Rage of the Broken Sky. Thanks goes to Bangiras for the translation!

Stage 1 – Evolves from Froakie

[W] Water Clone: Search your deck for up to 3 Frogadier and put them on your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward.

In the wake of the previously revealed Item cards that are supporting Basic Pokemon, I wonder if this card is hinting that this set is going to be accelerating Evolutions. After all, the set’s theme is “Pokemon-EX vs. Mega Evolutions vs. BREAK Pokemon” – and two out of three of those are Evolutions. We’ll see!
