Full Art Giovanni’s Plans, Brigette, and Doduo from XY8!
Giovanni and Bridgette will be making their X/Y debuts as full art Supporter cards, as revealed in Nintendo Dream Magazine. Thanks goes to @karubiimunomono for posting the magazine scan to Twitter and Michael S. for the translations!
Giovanni is the first card to be worded in the way it is with bullet points. It seems many of the set’s Trainer cards will feature “dual” effects since the set is all about duality (such as with Mega Mewtwo X vs. Mega Mewtwo Y, nature vs. urban, etc.).
Giovanni’s Plans – Trainer
SupporterWhen you play this card from your hand, choose 1 of the following 2 effects:
- Draw cards until you have 5 cards in your hand.
- Until the end of your turn, each of your Pokemon’s attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).
You may only play 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
Brigette – Trainer
SupporterSearch your deck for 1 Basic Pokemon-EX or up to 3 Basic Pokemon (excluding Pokemon-EX) and put them onto your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterwards.
You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
The official Pokemon Card blog has also revealed Doduo from Red Flash:
Doduo – Colorless – HP60
Basic Pokemon[C] Double Thrust: 10x damage. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads.
[C][C] Doduo’s Flight: Draw 2 cards.
Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 1
