‘Famitsu Magazine’ Reviews B2W2

Only a few more days! As usual, we’ll be covering the games as we play through them, so be sure to check back! Also, don’t forget that the Speed Gamers marathon is still going on! They’ve raised almost 75% of their goal so far but still need all the support you can give.

Famitsu Magazine has also reviewed Black 2 and White 2, though because of all the information we’ve already received this week, there isn’t really anything we don’t already know about. The top left of the seventh scan shows Pokewood, which appears to resemble a studio lot. The last scan reveals more of the boat that goes from Virbank City to Castelia City. You chase Team Plasma along with your rival and Homika’s dad, similar to what we saw in the promotional anime trailer. Everything in that trailer has come directly from the games so far, and that being the case, you’ll probably end up chasing the Shadow Triad in a frozen city at some point as they take off with some sort of object.

Famitsu also gave B2W2 a 36/40, praising the after-story gameplay, Pokewood, the Fes Missions, and the Pokedex’s ability to see which Pokemon are available in each area. The original Black and White scored a perfect 40/40.

Last week a type chart from the official B2W2 guidebook leaked and showed that Ghost-types would no longer be resistant to Bug-type moves. However, the type chart below shows the type effectiveness as it has been since Gold and Silver, meaning the earlier leak was in error and nothing has changed.
