»EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua Scans: Kyogre from the PokeGym recently posted six Team Magma vs Team Aqua card scans. The six scans include Team Aqua’s Kyogre, Team Aqua’s Manetric, Team Aqua’s Walrein, Team Magma’s Aggron, Team Magma’s Groudon, and Team Magma’s Torkoal. »EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua Set Info: The official Nintendo Pokemon TCG Website has posted a press release for the upcoming EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua set. The press release states some of the set info, such as that it will have 95 cards, 30 Team Magma and Aqua Pokemon, 14 Trainers, and 3 new energy types. Not only will the set use some extremely cool computer graphic art, but it will have new dual-type Pokemon. Dual-type Pokemon are ones in which have two energy types, such as the Aqua’s Kyogre being part water and part darkness. Remember, the set will hit the shelves on March 15th.

»EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua Pre-Releases: This weekend will be the beginning of the Team Magma and Aqua pre-release tournaments. Like the past three pre-release tournaments run by Nintendo, you will receive 6 booster packs from the set in which you get to keep, and then you make a 40 card deck to battle other people with. Since some of the new cards will have special effects against the opposite team, such as some Team Aqua Pokemon being able to do more damage to Team Magma Pokemon or some Team Aqua Pokemon being able to work together with other Team Aqua Pokemon, the pre-releases will prove to be interesting. I will be going to a pre-release this Saturday in Costa Mesa, CA and as usual will be getting some scans of the set up right when I get back or possibly the day after which is what you can look forward to this week. »City Championships: The City Championships are still underway. At City Championships, you are required to bring a Modified deck to battle other people with. The top person for each age group will receive a medal and will be able to go to State Championships. Top winners in the age groups will able to win EX Dragon boosters. Also when you go to one, you will get a free EX Dragon Charmander Promo card. Just so you know what to look out for, Gardevoir/ex and Ampharos ex decks are very popular, so it is best that you put up protection against them in your decks such as Sandstorm Wobbuffet. »New Scans in Progress: Instead of starting EX Ruby and Sapphire, I have decided to try to get some of the bigger sets done first and have already started Gym Challenge. So far, I have done about 40 of the scans and should be done by the end of this week. After I am done with Gym Challenge, I will move on to Gym Heroes and then to EX Ruby and Sapphire.
