Discussion This Format is nuts because of Lele

Just my two cents. While TCG does decide how many Leles to print overall, and could choose to create a box set for them at $20 or $25 (like they did for Zoroark), we are the ones who set the prices for any given card. Remember that TCG isn't making money directly from a $60 sale of a Lele. They make money selling packs and boxes. If the card has merit, then it will sell for more money. If Lele wasn't worth the money, no one would buy them (except for Charizard. Those are always stupid expensive for their value). Yes the price is expensive, but that's just how the market works. If people figure out a viable way to play great decks without Lele, the price will plummet.
