The only thing with the Escape Ropes is when you use them along with Hawlucha or Jolteon it turns them into pseudo Lysandres almost.

I run a very similar deck, but I use Victreebell instead of Ariados.

One thing to look forward to is the fact Float Stone is getting a reprint next set. This deck will become pretty viable once that set is legal. I do like the Ariados variant, but don't want to play it until the Float Stone reprint.
