BW/BW2 Zoroark moveset

OK, I am really hyped up because I got a Zoroark off of wifi the other day (WIN) and (it being one of my fav pokemon) I wanted to give it a really good set.

there were 2 in general I was thinking of (that utilize illusion well)

ITEM:Life orb (or something, item dosnt really matter)
Moves:
-Dark Pulse/Night Burst
-Flamethrower
-Focus blast
-U-turn

ITEM:Escape Button (new item that I think may be very good for zoroark, according to serebii, it allows a pokemon who has been hit with a move to switch out, therefore allowing zoroark an easy escape after losing illusion)
Moves:
-Dark Pulse/Night Burst
-Flamethrower
-Focus blast
-Sucker Punch

Basically, there are 2 debates I have:

1:Dark Pulse vs. Night Burst

2:U-turn vs. Escape button (where U-turn is replaced with sucker punch as it is less useful)

so, Id love to hear opinions and thoughts, thanks :D
 
Focus blast is to ricky on it. You could try extrasensory if you prefer accuracy like me.
Also some, any pokemon could use it moves are good.
Also needs pursuit for when people try to switch out of the fony. Or crunch will hit psychics harder, with its above dencent attack.

EDIT:also, as far as extrasensory goes, Il consider it, but if Im using dark pulse, thats a good flinch move as well as the fact the the fighting coverage is good, though Id like to work to a good set in general, so FLOOD TEH IDEAS IN PLS
 
I think you should use Dark Pulse over Night Burst. Only Zorua & Zoroark can learn Night Burst, so if you use it, they will know it's a Zoroark...
 
LOL, I just looked that up, good point XD

nintendo I guess didnt realize that giving something that "blends in" a signiture move was a issue XD

well, I guess that is something all gamers should know, especially with how many times zoroark is used on wifi (seriously, look at the battle videos on the GTS and at least 2 out of the 30 will have zoroark at any given time)

well, can you give me new set ideas ect. then?
 
Depends on what you plan on using as its appearance.
A stab dark move and flamethrower are very important, with some way of beating fighting types to. Have to see what pokemon scare people i guess. Id go with...
Zoroark escape button
Pursuit (for those switching out)
Flamethrower
Extasensory
Dark pulse (special stab helps)
Id also invest in special attack, speed, and the rest in hp. Pursuit is only for attacking while you can, not pure power. As said, night burst is a dead giveaway. Drought ninetales could be a good cover since it can use all those moves except pursuit.

BTW, now that it is mentioned that only he can learn night burst, I LOL every time some (disguised) zoroark uses it and the opponent dosnt realize XD

one good one I saw was disguising him as shedinja and using a SD set, its pretty gimmicky but could sweep teams i used right (since most shedinjas are SD sweepers and the fact that NO ONE will attach shedinja with a fighting move, actually there will propably be some switching just to get to a poke who CAN KO it which allows for more set up)

Also, I guess u-turn and Sucker punch are forgotton? I can see puruit beating sucker punch, but what about u-turn (or is the button enough?)

Well i'd choose the escape button with Sucker punch because Sucker Punch has 80 power and U-turn has 70 . Great for STAB Zoroarks.You would be geting the same benifit but without the Bug Type attack. Focus blast is too risky for it's low auccuracy. So try Night Slash with a Scope Lends which deals a lot of damage because of a hige critical hit rate. This is my feedback and I hope this helps you in the future;)
 
thanks, I am starting to think U-turn useless as zoroark (offensive) ussually can only come it 1-2 times per match where the the annoyer one uses u-turn to come in again...and again...and again...until its obvious and he gets killed off

also, I like mixed zoroark a lot, becuase flamethrower is basically a neccesary copponent to zoroark, and pursuit and dark pulse seem nice.

but, final sets?

Escape button should be enough. Shedinja could work with suckerpunch, but most people just get it over with a super effective move which in turn allows suckerpunch.
It could play as ninetales. Just use flamethrower, extrasensory or darkpulse and itll look regular. Then when someone swaps...BAM pursuit it.
Or if you plan on spamming flamethrower mainly, shandera would work beautifully. Its main wall is burungeru who you can destroy with either dark move. Same with gengar but with darkpulse. Actually anything weak to dark moves is good.

BTW, I have a weavile with dark pulse, but I have no way of breeding both dark pulse and extrasensory onto him at the same time D:

anythougts? bulbapedia says only lucario and weavile can pass on dark pulse and niether of them appear in the long list that can pass on extrasensory
 
Ninetales can get it through breeding, maybe level up as vulpix.
Unfrotunately i dont have BW. Waiting for an english release so i can play it fully and understand it all. Friend has it though who i help pick movesets.
I mostly just try to figure out movesets since i got interested in them. Might as well figure them out while the experts go through the new pokemon to.
 
so...I chan breed dark pulse to a vulpix that learns extrasensory?

and also, do you hack at all?

EDIT: just making sure U know, I need a pokemon that is in the GROUND egg group that can learn both extrasensory and dark pulse, thats the only way I can breed it to zorua
 
I dont use hacks, but im trying to learn how to RNG breed/find.
Also, vulpix can learn extrasensory through level up, and darkpulse through tm/breeding. If its no longer a tm its a bit harder. What you need is a weavile with darkpulse to breed with vulpix until you get a male. Then train it up a bit and breed to zoroark. It will take a while but thats the metagame for you.
Any other plans on your team?
 
I have a three headed dragon (named HYDRA :D), the grass starter, a metagross (I found a metang) and I also plan to get a garchomp, though I will need to get it from wifi since I cant use dream world.

Id be glad to add you as a friend when u get your game if you dont hack :)

Im sure vulpix learns extrasensory. However, dark pulse is no longer a tm so you will have to breed it on a vulpix.
Id personally start a strong sandstorm team or sunnyday team that zoroark can be a part of. If not, a team that can easily handle sandstorm teams.
I think zoroark should be fine with the moveset though. Best way is to just try it out and see how well it does.

I dont see it anywhere on there or serebii...my only options are to go with night burst or (maybe?) use smeargle to sketch both and breed them, though I dont know how Id pull that as the only easy way is to have a triple battle (and I dont know any rematch places for those) as well as the fact that I have no smeargle XD

I was reading on smogon and apparently night burst is better, so Im somewhat unsure right now
 
Im sure. Its an egg move while extrasensory can be learned at level 44.
If not, night burst. It has more power but gives away your identity. The accuracy loss on its foe could be useful.

It can be bred or taught dark pulse in DP but not anymore because its no longer a tm.
I wonder why? I know that from smogon and metagame, many people used dark pulse but ohwell.
Nightburst seems effective, id just use it only when neccesary.
Are there any pokemon you plan on using with it/a type of team? Apparentally, it goes great as a fake of erufuun and shandera, my favorites. Also goes good with arcanine and jalorda, which are some other good sunnyday teamates.
