BW/BW2 Will there be a "console stadium" game?

Would you buy a Console version for 5th Gen?

For the first two generations, we had Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2. For third generation, they gave us Pokemon Colosseum, and with Gen 4 we were introduced to Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Which brings me to speculate that there probably will be a console version of this game, but I want people to guess what they think it'll consist of.

Will it be for the Wii, or the next Nintendo Console?

Will it follow a specific storyline like Colosseum, battles like Revolution, rent Pokemon like Stadium, or a combination?

These and other questions I think we should discuss. Personally I think it'll be for the Wii and that Nintendo's too lazy to make an awesome character/storyline again, so it'll probably be closer to PBR but with shinier graphics and more Pokemon/features.

What do YOU think?

Well, I hope they give us one. It's nice with WiFi out now, so you could battle on a big screen with someone from Beach or Smogon via WiFi and a wii. I think it'd be very nice, IMO.

If we do end up getting one, I loved the ability to be able to customize your trainer from PBR but I missed the rental Pokemon system from the original Stadiums as well.

In my humble opinion, an ideal version would be a customizable trainer that goes through a story line, like in Colosseum, with the PBR battling system and for those who want/need to rent, the Original style for picking. I thought PBR was silly when to rent a Poke you had to pick an entire 6 man team at a time.

I want a Pokemon stadium style game with online play, with different servers to join in. Like Shoddy.

I hope that Nintendo comes out with a new game console and the game will be for that instead of the Wii. I am hoping that you'll be able to roam around towns and battle people in new 3D nature.

If the game turns out to be good, then I will buy it.

i want a colluseum/xd and battle rev mix.
wish list
1-EXTREME GRAPHICS
2-a storyline and hubworld like colluseum and xd (it can be kind of weak) but the same pokemon battle colluseum battles as pbr
3-DEFINENTLY ONLINE 6 ON 6 SINGLE BATTLES WITHOUT FRIENDCODES!!!!

I'd like it to be like PBR, as in it lets you copy pokemon from your DS/Dslite/DSi. I'd also like to be able to walk around towns and battle trainers, like in Colleseum.:p{F}

that was exactly what i was trying to say

Well I hope at this point Nintendo realizes that letting us transfer our Pokemon is a very important part of why most of us buy the console versions XD

Gen 5 PBR-style game isn't a matter of if, but when.

Those who remember the first trailers of PBR also know that the game we got is nothing like them. Nintendo wanted the game out by the holiday season, so the game was rushed and suffered greatly as a result.

I am confident that when "PBR 2" comes out for compatibility with 5th gen (as well as Platinum-exclusive formes), it will be as good as or better than the initial PBR trailer.

Those who have never seen the first trailer of PBR can view it here:

You really have to see it to believe how much we got screwed.

As PMJ said, its not a matter of if, but when. That trailer was amazing :O

If we got something similar to the actions of Hyper Beam in that trailer I would be happy.

I would definatly like to see a re-visit to Orre, but I think we have had enough of the Shadow Pokémon. I want Piryte town and the Under back. That would make me happy :]

Maybe it would be good to be part of a villainous team.

Yeah, the no having a story mode kinda sucked on PBR.

It IS not a question of IF but WHEN.

After all, Black and White WILL NOT BE USABLE with PBR.

Hate to say it, but PBR sucked...A LOT! Coming off of games like Pokemon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness, the fourth generation's stadium-battler was a real slap in the face. Even so, there's no reason the fifth gen shouldn't continue on the "tradition" of having some kind of console game like that. Though, I really hope that's not the only thing they do. I mean, most of the other Pokemon games that have been (and/or going to be) released for the Wii are all on Wiiware, right? Since I don't have wi-fi, I can't get them (that is, unless they released physical copies of the games that I'm unaware of, otherwise...).

I'd like a mix of Colosseum/XD and BR. BR style battles, DS transfer, Customizable trainer/battle pass. But have towns/routes to battle trainers on, and get a starter team of a starter and 2 more unevolved pokemon, for example Charmander/Poliwag/Pikachu, Bulbasaur/Growlithe/Geodude, or Squirtle/Oddish/Ekans , and it has the whole exp system. And they'd still keep the BR style Colosseums.

I expect that the next console game will be for the Wii, and released in Q2/Q3 2011, and will be compatible with the following games:
- Diamond/Pearl
- Platinum (Including formes)
- HeartGold/SoulSilver (Including Spiky-Eared Pichu)
- Black/White
- Any other Gen V games.

It will also have the trainer models for the next Gen V games, due out in 2012, programmed into the game.

At the very least, it will be like Battle Revolution. However, I hope we also get mini-games like in Stadium and Stadium 2.

If they can make a PBR 2 right, then I might buy it, but if they continue making the same exact game, then it'll become a waste of money.

dmaster out.
