Why not replace the Card Review on the front page with Card of the Day?

I've been visiting pokebeach for a little while now and have always been bothered by the Card Review section that sits atop the front page of the website. It has been sitting at Dual Ball for a while now - and a quick glance at the thread and you'll notice that the card is probably as discussed as it will ever be!

I've also recently started posting in the Card of the Day section and have noticed that not too many post there (though a lot of members view the section). I'm pretty sure this is because a lot of users don't know that it exists! And thus, a solution!

Why not update the front page daily / bi-daily to whatever the Card of the Day is? Doing this gives a lot of benefits, such as:

  • Keeping the site looking fresh when there is a lull of poke-news
  • Breaths life into the Card of the Day section
  • Gives the users who didn't know about the section more content / a way to contribute to the community

I don't see any reason not to do this - then again, I'm usually over optimistic when it comes to suggesting things. What do you guys think?
 
The reason why the Dual Ball thing can't be updated on the main page is because there's some problem with it if I recall correctly.

Hrm, I see. I tried doing some searches but I couldn't find anything.

It should be fairly easy to remove the section and start a new one with a basic card + image link though!
 
WPM is too busy and I don't have access to the front page. We're working on fixing the issue, don't worry.
