Exactly what you think it is. Who, in your opinion, should Ash be with?

I choose Gary Oak. They're always flirting with each other, and it's clear that while they have a bit of a rivalry, whenever one of them is in serious trouble and/or danger, the other instantly becomes concerned and/or encouraging. And while there's much teasing between many members of the animé, Ash takes Gary's words to heart much more than any other character. They have the two halves of a Pokéball. They held hands in "Can't Beat the Heat!" Ash also makes many decisions on his journey based on Gary's own.

Personally, I thought Ash and Misty had a small romantic thing going on between them in the first few seasons so I was a bit miffed when she was taken out, so if anyone I think it'd be her he'd be with.

Honestly I'm not really into "shipping" discussion but I think they should bring back Misty and he should be with her. She should actually have Good pokemon this time..like Blastoise and use her gyarados..

Ash will never have a love interest because the female lead changes every season.
However, the fact that Misty's Song exists proves that as far as canon goes, Ash x Misty is as close as you're gonna get.
As if Ash should have been with someone besides her anyways.

I don't anyone could ever fall in love with Ash... I mean who would want to grow old with someone who stays 10 years old forever? >.<
