My pokemon anniversary was yesterday and I got into pokemon officially on 12/16/99 so I have been into pokemon for 7 years now.:)

It depends... the first time I got into it or when I got back into it a few years later? I cant remember the exact date but it was dec 1999/jan 2000 time first time. The second time it was March this year.

I got my first packs 3 days after base set 1 came out in US.

The day I opened my first pack of cards and got a Chansey was sometime in May I believe. (Near my birthday?)

I have been in and out of pokemon sooo many times that I can't even remember when I played or not .:( I give you guys cred for remembering the exact days.

i remeber it was like when the first episode aired in america that episode got me really excited for the show and i have been a fan since then

Wow I started 1 year before most of you guys but I did not make it official until I got the pokemon sticker book pokedex and 1 of the questions asks whae day did you become a trainer or some thing like that and I put the date I got that but I started slowly getting into it in october of 1999 and that was because I did not understand it at first and then one of my friends showed me some of his cards and the first card he showed me was charizard so ever since I saw that card I slowly got int pokemon and did not make it official until that date.:)

Seeing as I am in england and for a while they only showed it on cable and satellite that would explain why my date is a bit later. My friend got into it way before I did and I used to get annoyed with her because it was all she would talk about. Now its the other way around.

the starter was missing a blazikein and it had a swampert in it!!!
