Eletrode from secret wonders has the attck called ion blast, which has 40 damage and has the option of being able to do 100 damage, if you do 100 damage to electrode....im just wondering why you have to do 100 damage if electrode only has 80 HP??

^No it wouldn't, since buffer only reduces damage done by opponets attacks. Its been like that forever with self-destructors.

Unlimited still has Defender.

They worded it that way (instead of just the simple "Electrode knocks itself out") so it can't be prevented by something that prevents effects. The way it's written, Electrode always KOs itself, even if something like Energy Root or Defender is attached.
