What's the deal with Pokemon and the third generation?

I mean, all of the anime is practically 3rd gen, the annuals for like 4 years are based on the 3rd generation, even when 4th gen was well recognized, it still was 3rd generation.
In my opinion, R/S/E was the worst bunch.

Kanto > Johto > Orange islands > Hoen > Hoen > Hoen > Hoen > Hoen

I think he's talking about the anime and movies. I agree with him, if he is. The Hoenn saga was the reason I stopped watching the anime.

I think the best out of the thrid generation anime was the music, lucario movie and the creators of land and sea called groudon and kyogre even Rayqauaza.
