Whatever happened to the guessing games during pokemon

What happened to them? I noticed this season during the first episode that they were gone and even the who's that pokemon is gone too.:)
 
Pokemon USA did away with them so they could avoid time cuts. Which is why the theme song is so short. In a way its cool because now we won't miss any of the episodes. I don't really miss them because of the whole Arbok = Seviper fiasco do we really want that again? o_0

I don't really understand what u mean but if ure talkin' about the pokémon that leave when the make a new seasen the just leave to catch some new sort of pokemon in that new seasen and there in the PC i think (But i dont know if u mean this... sorry if im rong...)

The pokemon guessing games they had right before ads came on and who that pokemon guessing game. I loved those because It helped me remember pokemon and what attacks are good against other pokemon and others I still mess up on so I wish they were still there because they help me remember stuff too.:)
 
oh wait i get it :p sorry about it.. but those games i dunno where the are i saw yesterday some pokemon it whas still there but it whas old :p i think the removed it geus..
 
Ditto don't worry it just wasn't explained throughly. But just to be more specific, Ever since Pokemon was on tv, they always had a game when it went to commercials. First it was "Who's That Pokemon" than for later seasons it was "Trainers Choice". But for season 9 Pokemon USA decided to get rid of them to avoid cutting anything from the actual episode. Which is great IMO, if anyone misses the games than to bad it won't be changed.
 
Awww I get it now. That stinks because I liked them andthey helped me a lot.:)
 
The who's that pokemon thing helped when i first started into pokemon, but it got boring and in the 6th season that just did old pokemon. The trainers choice rediculus because it was like asking easy questions. I wanted something along the lines of : Trainers, in the rain which pokemon can heal its self by gathering water?" or "Trainers, when in a battle with a ghost, which attack would be effective?" something that would make my brain work. Not.....Trainers, which pokemon evolves into which. In other workds, i'm glad its gone, though I wish they had kept that halftime show picture....it's pretty.

I know what you mean Falkner vs Klaus. It helped me out as well when it first started. But after a while the questions became super easy, or lame. Though their were few that made me think hard, but I can't remember any examples o_O and the halftime picture thing would be awesome!

BTW their refered as 'eye catches' and Japan started using those during AG, but now were not even getting those. That's not fair -.-
 
IMO, it's the different kind of "Sections" the give for each season starting form the Advanced Generations. Like for Pokemon Advanced, it still followed the Johto Journey's, Johto League Champions and Pokemon Master Quest Seasons where the "Who's That Pokemon" activity was given everytime before an advertisement.

Then, when it came to the next season, the ever famous Pokemon Advanced Challenge, The "Guessing Game" as you said, was given as the activity. So, here we can see a change from the First ever Pokemon Episode to Pokemon Advanced, there was no change to the "Activity" before Advertisements.

After Pokemon Advanced Challenge was Pokemon Advanced Battle, which is the period where you found out the "Guessing Games" were removed. I guess Nintendo didn't have anymore ideas to fill the few seconds before and after an advertisement during the episodes for every season.

Either way, I don't see any use for the Activities between the shows as it just lengthens up the show a bit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the longer the show is shown, the more money that is needed to be paid to Kids WB or Cartoon Network, or any other Programs that will feature Pokemon for that reason.

When Pokemon Advance ended and Pokemon advance battle started, they still kept the 'guessing games'. But now that Pokemon USA took over, they decided not to do them. Nintendo has plenty of ideas, but this was PUSA's decision. And the show is 'technically' the same length, only that there's no long theme song and no 'trainers choice' and that equals an uncut episode.

Also to my recollition, CN pays PUSA/TAJ to air the episodes, but gets almost as much back thanks to commercials. Though I'm not 100% sure, so take this with a grain of salt.
 
I wish the would bring them back because they took the fun out of the show and it kept me guessing on which pokemon and which attack and stuff it was and I always had fun playing it so yeah I wish they would bring it back and with out that stuff in the show it ends 3 minutes earlier than it used to so in a way they are cutting corners to save time but that is my opinion. I just liked playing it.:)
 
I guess you didn't read anything I said. There doing this so they can show the episode uncut. No matter how much you want it back they won't bring it back. And the show is the same length, its CN's odd comercial breaks that make it seem shorter =/ its been confirmed so don't assume its shorter.

And I'm happy there gone, they were useless. I prefer an uncut episode, than a silly game that was wrong more than once.
 
They did not cut any episodes up until now because they are over at 25 after the hour and 55 after the hour and it used to be 28 and 58 after each episode airing so without them in we are loosing episode time and they should have made the episodes longer. Compare PAB to next weekends episodes and you will notice the diffrence because they are a bit shorter but not by much.:)
 
xxashxx its been confirmed that the episodes are longer. So why do you continue to say there shorter? its because CN gives commercials at different times, that's why it seems shorter. Please try to understand!
 
I'm just glad they don't speed up the seens. The episodes without commercials are 20 min. I don't know how long the last with commercials. Though I do wish we would have got the ending credits with the song and images,not that"YO POKEMON MASTER..BLAH BLAH BLAH.
