Many cards have an attack that places an effect on a pokemon. The most notable ones being Jolteon EX and Volcanion EX. The effect of being immune to basics or unable to attack in Volcanion's case, last until the card says it naturally goes away. But what lifts the effect instantly besides Pokemon Ranger? I know Jolteon can be hit if you play escape rope then Lysander, But why is the effect removed? The same applies to Volcanion to some extent. If you do Rush in and retreat Keldeo and bring in Volcanion EX you can use attack again. Are all effects of attacks removed when a pokemon is moved to the bench? I am not just looking for a Yes or No answer, but the reasons why the effects are removed, and what other effects get removed and why.

Because it moves to the Bench, and rules specifically state that moving n active to the bench clears all effects of attacks.
Yes, going to the bench removes effects and conditions from Pokémon. Even if in some cases where the opponents active say's the defending pokemon. Once the defending pokemon changes, the effect is gone.
